    RTE say "at least" 2 dead. They usually hint at things. I don't like the sound of it but hopefully no more fatalities.

    To be fair i don't blame people for responding angrily to suggestions of dissident involvement in this. The murder of a garda, no matter the circumstances, is an affront to us all.

    And let's not forget Adrien Donohoe, whose murderers fled - abroad in all cases i believe. Gardai in Louth identified them as dissidents.

    The shinners didn't come out, there was an unfounded implication of dissident involvement.

    However. Reported crime scene in Newry. Handgun used. Louth. The gall to murder a garda. And journalists reported dissident involvement. but you can't say anything right now other than offer condolences.

    RIP, thoughts are with the family's of those killed. And thoughts with the young family of the Garda killed in the line of duty, another awful waste of life to add to the awful weekend.

    Also the poor wife of Adrian must be living it all over again. So close to home.

    Just what I was thinking. Will bring it back in an awful way for Caroline Donohue and their family.
