Anyone know where the box office is located and whether it's handy on the Friday?

Last year there was a ticketmaster one at the gates of the carpark if I remember correctly!

Aah you can't expect it to be perfect every time we were lucky for the last two years so far, all you can do is make do with what you get. :)

Yr.no are currently giving Sat and Sun dry with a little bit of rain on Fri. That's hardly too bad? Anyway, it's liable to change half a dozen times between now and Thursday.

I don't think so. The year before last I was just down for the Sunday and we had to book a taxi in advance to get back to Mullingar. It's bigger now though, so that may well have changed.

Anybody know how the Us&You campsite works? I registered for it and got the email they sent out this week, but there's precious little info on it.

Are we supposed to print out the email and produce it at the gate, or give our names when we hand over our tickets, and get our names crossed off a list? Do you get a special wristband that allows you access to the campsite?

My friends signed up during the time when the site kept crashing, and they didn't get the confirmation email last week so looks like they're not registered. Any hope for them, or are they outside the fence?

They'll have a desk at the entrance to Us&You when you arrive on Friday, they'll cross your name off the list and give you an Us&You wristband.

Your friends can email them at begreen@bodyandsoul.ie to see if they made the list.

They really only look for glass. Put a bottle of vodka into a 7up bottle and 99% you'll be grand.

In the same boat. Thought it was one guy and his computer! Was looking forward to "him" as it was but after watching some of that coachella set...it's gonna be unbelievable!

Ask this every year, dance music, please give me a brief list of what I should be at. The Irish DJs they have in the forest are always rocking. Have not had time yet to go through the whole line up! Any help appreciated!

    From the main bill poster

Hudson Mohawke: Don't really know his style, but the clip I posted from the boiler room seemed to suggest a DJ Shadow style, a bit of hip hop and techno.

David August: Ambient techno with a symphonic edge, a pleasant listen.

Optimo: Scottish techno DJs, good kicking sets.

Gold Panda: Techno DJ who has played B&S a few times.

Slow Magic: A DJ of a sorts, I don't know his genre.

There is probably more in the main bill, its just that I'm not familiar with them.

The Absolut stage has some crackers this year.

    Fish Go Deep: techno.

    Donal Dinneen: Ambient techno.

Get Down Edits: Techno and house.

    Mother DJs

Hopefully thats a bit to get you started anyways.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

In a similar vein, as a non-dance music fan, who should I be looking out for?

I wouldn't call fish go deep techno, old/new house is what they play.
Also check out Sunday Times, not sure what stage but well worth the visit!

Examples of a couple of acts that you do like would help with recommendations, but here goes...

Mercury Rev - slightly dreamy veteran indie rockers from the US best known for winning the Mercury Music Prize for their rather fantastic Deserters Songs album. Having bought their Carwash Hair single back in the early 90s, a definite must-see for me. Think a more restrained version of Flaming Lips maybe?

The Gloaming - Irish trad music "supergroup". Not usually my thing but these guys are well worth a look if there's any chance of you being spellbound by a bit of sean nos singing and fiddle playing.

Wolf Parade - Not quite as veteran as Mercury Rev, but still on a reunion tip, these guys are Canadian indie rockers - this time a bit more meat and two veg in terms of their sound, and generally less spacey, than t'Rev. Wasn't into them first time around but have been listening to them pre-festival. Possibly as close as the festival will come to "stadium rock" all weekend (and I am doing them a disservice in saying that, but I do reckon they're more rocky and anthemic than most acts @ BnS)

Could list more, but would be useful to know more about what you do like to listen to.

This sounds like techno to me, was never really anal about what I listened too if it made the head bop, grand, but I suppose the bpm would be slower than say, Ben Klock or Kalbrenner.
