Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I always enjoy Dara as a guest on QI but he has one habit that once it's pointed out its hard to avoid. Some of you may have noticed already I won't spoil it for the rest

Gonna take a punt at Aisling Bea, Graham Linehan, Sean Hughes, Jason Byrne, Andrew Maxwell, Neil Delamere (unlikely) and Ardal O Hanlon.

    Think Neil is wrong though..

    Oh, Graham Norton surely.

EDIT: David O Doherty has definitely been on it actually.

Sharon Horgan? if she wasn't she should have been....should be the new presenter now I'm at it

Brendan O' Carrol was definitely on

    Snap. Realised that alright.

Actually, Roisin Conaty does a lot of panel shows too.

Not sure if it's just me but the audience laughter seemed almost laugh tracked. Anyway, not in the mood so will come back another time.

Was good tonight. Toksvig doesn't do the Fry "I know everything even though it's on the card or being fed into my ear" thing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,348 ✭✭✭sonofenoch

Not Evans/Top Gear bad but not for me.... Toksvig will have her fans but I'n not one, there's many names I'd have picked to host ahead of her

I used to love it but gave up on it about 2 or 3 years ago.

The thing that made the show enjoyable was more the interesting stuff you found out mixed with a bit of humour but gradually as the show progressed it became more and more low brow with far too much inane banter being the focus of the show. There are too many **** panel shows like that already.

Alan Davies should have been got rid of and it became increasingly tiresome to have to endure his pretend idiocy which was not really funny in the first place.

It wasn't too bad. Will definitely watch again.

Quite enjoyed it. Sandi left a bit more space for the guests, didn't stomp on them as Stephen occasionally did.

She was a good host on the News Quiz (lots of episodes on YouTube) so I'd say she'll be fine here too.

She did fine, poor guests though.

Watched the XL version of last weeks last night, pretty damned good.....can't remember the last time the guests had so much fun, comedians like Ross Noble and Aisling Bea are just infectious and Corey Taylor was surprisingly good......Toksvig is warming to the role too

I thought Friday nights one was very good, she's settling into the roll well now.

Anyone know why Fry left? Strange to do so as I thought he quite enjoyed it.

As for Toksvig, I think it's a very, very poor substitute indeed. A matter of taste I Suppose, but I have never liked her and I'm old enough to remember her from No.73.

Last Friday's episode on Non Sequiturs is particularly good, featuring the urine of menopausal nuns, steam-powered vibrators, Sandi standing on the desk dropping eggs in condoms, and someone hitting Alan with a hammer. :pac:
