15-10-2015 2:51pmHi,
I'm looking for a hi fi with wireless speakers please for the kitchen but would consider wireless speakers with in-built FM.
DAB radio doens't seeem to work where I am so would like 'traditional' radio, remote control, 3.5 jack to plug in ipod/phone for music. A cd player would be nice but not essential.
Budget would be about €400 max. Cheers. Patrick1

I would have no stereo with wireless speakers unfortunately. Wireless stereo speakers are not something that we would stock.
There are plenty of stand alone wireless speakers like the Sonos and Heos range. With the help of an internet connection (Wireless) would get all your radio stations. You can connect your phone or tablet via your network and also gain access to the likes of spotify, tidal etc.
Your phone, tablet or laptop would act as your controller.
Sonos play 1 priced at 199.00 Euro

Denon offer the Heos 1 coming in at 199.99 Euro also

You could go up to the Heos 3 at 298.99 Euro

Or the Play 3 at 299.00 Euro

Let me know if any of the above catch your eye.
Any questions please drop me a post.0 -

If not if accessing the radio via internet can you have stations programmed into the device for quick and easy access?
I like the idea of 2 speakers for stereo sound so looking at €400 minimum. Between the Sonos Play 1 or Denon Heos 1 which would you recommend (presuming the Denon can be paired up)?
Lastly would the sound on either above compare to the Denon D-M39DAB?
Thank again,

Both the Sonos and Heos 1's can be paired into stereo.
Both sound very good indeed although the Heos would have edge on the lower frequencies.
You can store the Radio stations in your favorites folder on the app and access them from there.
The Denon DM39 has now finished and been replaced with the DM40 coming in at 329.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201414-dm40-dab.aspx
The DM40 is a different beast altogether. You would need to run speaker from it which would not be wireless. It does tick all the other boxes you require.
In terms of how the Sonos and Denon would sound against the DM40. It really depends which speakers you would pair it up with.
We do a package deal of the DM40 and the Tannoy V1 speaker at 439.99 Euro (We have a further 30 Euro off as a promo code VIP20) dropping the setup to 409.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)
