Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'd still take a draw............

Very rare you'd see a ref let that develop from that kind of tackle, good reffing

Get in ! Great start to the game... Everyone playing well including Wayne and Ander on fire ! Credit to the ref for playing a good advantage.

Smalling lucky enough to get away with that.

Really good start - setup for United to hold the ball and pick Everton off. The attack is beginning to click.

What was Smalling at there? Could have given away a pen

Actually it was a good call, barely touched him.

    Please be ok De Gea.

De Gea got away with that. Could have easily been a goal. Rooney giving the ball away led to it too....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

What kind of pox is there on Jones?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

Jones and Daniel Sturridge must be great friends.

    Rooney his usual toxic self.

Just Everton and United fans here today. No fans from other teams? Odd that?

Long way to go yet. Lots of dangerous players on Everton bench too.

Rooney is losing the ball too easily.

Jesus, Rooney is a sad sight these days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

Its actually ridiculous to watch. Everyone constantly moving around providing options except Rooney staring into space before a heavy touch and giving the ball away

He is the very opposite of what LVGs philosophy is. Every time he gets the ball, he is giving it away.

Darmian's timing of the tackle is as good as you will get.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

How the feck did that not go in?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,519 ✭✭✭Flint Fredstone

    Much better from Rooney.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

More of that please from Rooney.

    Looked like a handball there?

That is the first useful thing Rooney has done in the game.

Smalling is just immense this season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Nice clearance punch save by De Gea.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,519 ✭✭✭Flint Fredstone

    urrrghgggghhh, Rooney!!!

Positive signals from Rooney towards half time.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Setanta crediting Rooney with the first goal :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

The boys in Setanta Sports might want to get there eyes tested, Rooney didn't score in the 18th minute!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

How can LVG continue to justify Rooney's inclusion to the team? He can't even control the ball or even pass the ball properly.

His lack of confidence and indecision make him useless in that kind of situation. I'd prefer if it was De Gea running at the defender there.

Smalling giving another MOTM performance. We've kept the ball very well, think a lot if that is to do with Memphis being left out, Rooney loosing it far too often however. Impressed with Martial again, working very hard off the ball and I never realised how good he was in the air, he has the full package

It's a shame he has been pushed out wide to accommodate Rooney.

Herrera, Smalling and Rojo have played well.

Great performance so far. Smalling bossing it at the back

LVG must believe Rooney has value in the dressing room and organising on the pitch as an experienced and respected player. But Rooney has been incredibly poor for most the game so far. Its like playing with 10 men. I don't think LVG's patience will be limitless if Rooney doesn't seriously pick himself up.
