Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Mata off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Mata looked to be struggling for the final 10 minutes of that half

    That's a weird one. Injury?

I really can't understand the abuse Rooney gets on here. He has been poor but he still has over 150 goals for Utd. That must count for something.

I am a fan of Lingard, has good eye for goal.

And Setanta spells his name wrong. Graphics folk are really on form today.

Did Mata play the 90 in Ukraine?
Might be protecting him for the CL.

Your past goal scoring shouldn't justify you playing on the pitch considering his current form is beyond awful. He should earn his place like every other player on the field week in week out.

A lot of it is bias becuase apparently none of them would ever dare to ask for a pay rise.
But apart from them, he has been playing poorly for about 8/9/12 months

He came on for Fabregas didn't he?

Might be a precautionary Sub with the match midweek

You can't live on past glories, you should be well aware of that.

Is it just me that Setanta is terrible for today? Looks like a terrible internet stream and sound keeps breaking up.

The one time I actually want to watch a 3pm game

LVG must believe Rooney has value in the dressing room and organising on the pitch as an experienced and respected player. But Rooney has been incredibly poor for most the game so far. Its like playing with 10 men. I don't think LVG's patience will be limitless if Rooney doesn't seriously pick himself up.

Incredibly poor? Harsh. He's been just ok. Sharper than usual this season, but that's not saying much either.

Anyone else finding the sound very off on Setanta?

For the majority of united fans it counts or a lot but some would have you believe he was never any good for us. Just pity he is doing so bad lately i think he needs a step back and see what happens.

That's a silly line of thinking for fans if they want to believe it. They earn their place in training, which we don't watch.

Just becuase let's say lingard has an excellent half, that dosent mean he is a starter next week.

    1 league goal since April.
1 away league goal since November 2014

I'm talking about the abuse he gets not saying he should keep his place no matter what he does.

I don't see any abuse of him, there's plenty of deserved criticism alright.

The fact he is up droppable is probably why there is such venom. If he had been rightly dropped for a few games, it mightn't be as strong.

Lukaku is going to get someone sent off here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

That is such a weird tattoo that Rojo has behind his ear/upper neck.

That couldn't possibly have been an Everton throw.

The chance he set up for Martial is the only significant thing I can remember him doing in the first half. Other than that he has been constantly making the wrong choices and executing them poorly. I'd give Rooney a lot of time given what he has done for the club and I have no issue at all with him getting the best contract he can, but the team have been carrying him for a while now.

Everton are a bit of a sneaky team.....
