Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

1st page yippeee, worth staying up for...
But seriously, if sturridge is injured again he might think of giving up this footballing thing and try something that doesnt involve running, all joking aside he has been wrapped in cotton wool these last few months, best of medical care, tailored training etc. no game for a couple of weeks and still injured !!! Anyway hopefully incorrect info.

You mean Sturridge is completely Boardsed, better chance of Sturridge being fixed I think.

Was just listening to a piece on 5live on Klopp, there was a dortmund fan/journo on saying it took klopp two years to make any impression there. Hope its not going to take as long here

Dortmund were even worse off than us when he took over. His first season, he brought them from 13th to 6th, then 5th, then two league wins. Sounds like yer man on 5Live was being a bit of a moany hole.

I think it could. For a start, if the gegenpressing is something he'll want to introduce, that's going to take time. Time for the current players to get up to speed with it and to get used to. Time also to bring in his own players who he feels can fit this system best.

Of course, he'll do what he feels best with this current set of players and set them out accordingly, but it's not going to be instant success,

I'm not making excuses for Klopp because i always feel managers should be given plenty of time once they're appointed, but i'm not expecting miracles or great things over this season and the next.

It's going to be a gradual, maybe slow process to where we want to be and i think a lot of patience will be required by the fans. The difference with Klopp as opposed to Rodgers is that Klopp has a track record of proven success and this will give him more time.

We're in for the long haul with Klopp and i'm prepared to be patient through whatever may be coming up.

At the end of the storm, there's a golden sky.......

If a former Liverpool player wrote that he would be branded as bitter

On Twitter last night, a couple of papers going with it. He's travelled down with the squad, but has a swollen knee or something like that. He's not expected to play, but they'll probably test him this morning (they probably know by now whether he's playing or not)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Another bit i was reading in Gerrard's book was how he had to persuade Sturridge to play again Man U at Anfield when he had a slight injury (the one nil win when Sturridge scored after four minutes)

Gerrard was saying that you have to make Sturridge feel good about himself and make him feel vital to the team in order for him to play through an injury. Sturridge does seem to want to only ever be 100% fit to play.
