    Good Morning Red Alert,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie

You will only need to use your verified by visa password to validate online transactions with participating online retailers. There is no option to opt out when you are shopping with a participating retailer if this is part of their normal check out process.

If you forget your verified by visa password and are prompted for it while shopping, simply select the 'Forgot your Password' link that appears on screen. You will need to verify your identity by entering a few pieces of information, and you will then be able to create a new password.

If your verified by visa password become locked out please call 1890 251 251 (or +353 56 7757747 from abroad) to unlock your account. Once your verified by visa account has been unlocked, you will be able to immediately go back online, activate during shopping and create a new password.

You can get information on verified by visa here.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks
    Nicola

What's the point of it when you can constantly reset your password by entering your number on the back and dob?

Why not just ask for this information?

    Good Morning LeinsterDub,

Thanks for getting in touch with us this morning on Boards.ie

The Verified By Visa password is unique and chosen by you so it provides the highest level of security while shopping online. When resetting the password the information you are required to provide is personal and should only be known to you, this avoids any possible misuse of your card.

I hope this answers your query, and if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to post again here.

    Thanks,
    Evie
