I really like David. His delivery of one-liners is second to none, IMO. I still wish he had rediscovered his tough side, when dealing with Callum. (When Callum was alive :D)!

David will always ultimately be a meek coward but he is daring in many ways and entertaining.

I love David's cachacter, seen that he pointed a shotgun at his mother, he was a bit of a coward when it came to dealing with Callum.

Great to see the old David back. He's the only one holding them together. Without him Kylie & Sarah would be doing life.

I think David should have outwitted Callum, not through strength but cunning ng.He can be very calculating.I think they wasted that storyline.

I agree. I also would have preferred - as has been said here before - if Callum was blown up with the car. It would have been a good twist, and would have made Tony and Todd, unwittingly, part of the whole thing.

I saw on the cover of some soap mag
David and Kylie frame Jason for Callum's death
    .

Yeah and we wouldn't have Kylie doing her 'telltale heart' bit jumping out of her skin a couple of times an episode.

I know she's coming back but, now she's gone, does anyone actually miss Sarah Lou?

Corrie boss defends Ken's new Romance.

    http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/coronation-street/news/a773301/coronation-street-boss-stuart-blackburn-defends-kens-new-romance-plot-there-are-statistics-to-back

I think its too soon and I think a character like Roy would nearly stay on his own till he dies, think he moved on way too soon as well.

I think there may be a mistake in that article because it said Roy waited 2 years after Hayleys death to move on, really didn't think she was dead that long, how long is Hayley dead?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,006 ✭✭✭MistyCheese

Not quite two years, she died Jan 20 2014.

Nessa doesn't suit Ken. It's a bad match.

Apart from that he likes Audrey, it seems daft that he'd drop her in favour of someone like Nessa.

I recently purchased Paula Lanes top from the live episode

I see your sweaty t-shirt, and I raise you this desirable article, available from Amazon.uk, a steal at just a little over £14.00.

Kylie has to freak out every five minutes otherwise, we might forget what happened because you know we are all that dim.

Nessa is all wrong for Ken, and considering he was carrying a brief flame for Audrey, its totally out of character for him to show any interest in Nessa. Tbh I think matching Ken and Audrey is wrong as well. Rita and Ken would be more believable, especially now Rita has her divorce papers.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but looks like we've seen the back of Steve, possibly for good.

I wondered that. Her husband's name is Trevor.

How will I get to sleep tonight now ?

Yeah, don't agree with Ken moving on so soon. Ugh.

I'm hoping Liz has some evil plot up her sleeve to get her own back on Tony! (Don't want to hear any spoilers, just hoping that's where it's headed!)

Anyone else having trouble with the utv player, it wont upload videos, or when it does it only plays the first half of the video and wont come back for the second part. Ive tried between 2 different wifi's so its not the internet.

You give the writers more credit than I do.

Regarding Ken. He's lonely. He lives with Tracey for flips sake. How he isnt on half a bottle of scotch a day is a miracle. In Audrey I think he sought companionship, similar age group, also alone etc. Yer one Nessa is laying on all the charms and he hasnt bitten yet. I think he is being harshly critisised. That said it could just be a producer and a team of writers who know their cards are marked. New producer coming in. She'll want her own writing staff with fresh ideas. I've been practically sleeping through episodes recently, Id imagine the writers are doing the same.

Try upgrading your flash player. Usually does the trick.

I would have liked to see Audrey and Ken growing close and gradually realising there was a spark between them, and okay, then Nessa could be doing her best to get Ken, it could be quite funny.

I know that soap timelines have to move differently, but the Corrie writers drag boring stuff out endlessly (e.g the whole Max custody stuff, Gandy story etc), and then rush something like this, which could be potentially far more entertaining.

Audrey is one of my favourite characters. I'm happy to see her, and some of the other 'oldies' back on screen. I couldn't take much more of the endless lightweights that pass for actors, currently trying to carry storylines.

I get that too, or it gets stuck on an ad.
On the old one, it wasn't too bad as it would give you the option to 'resume' but now you have to play it all again.

Yeah,in fairness maybe the writers are trying to stay true to Ken's character. Although he loved Deidre,he always had a roving eye & was always on the lookout for someone he perceived as better. No reason for his habit of a lifetime to change now that she's dead - in fact less reason for it to. I think it's more to do with the fact that the actress is also dead which makes it uncomfortable for us as viewers,it seems disrespectful or something. But really the show must go on I suppose & Ken is,in his own words, reverting to form.

am I the only one not feeling the Fiz, Tyrone and Hope sadness don't get me wrong it's an awful situation to be in and I have a little one about hopes age but something is missing maybe I don't like Tyrone and Fiz as much as other characters so i'm not bothered:o:o also ever time I think of Hope being sick I just think ah she's an actress:( now in saying all that I will probably be the first to ball my eyes out come the Christmas day episode:)

that would be a massive leap between not being bothered to balling your eyes out! i think most people just feel the story is very sad and well written and realistic. Personally balling your eyes out is a bit much if you dont feel the story now!

Same here casio. Not feeling it. Partly because, in my opinion, Jennie McAlpine is incapable of carrying the storyline. No bawling for me.

Not sure if its Fiz or Hope is the problem but definitely not getting the sadness across. Tyrone is doing very well but after that ...nope not feeling it either.

Jenny McAlpine drives me mental. The way she does that starey, slightly cross eyed thing when she doesn't blink...like she's trying to summon up tears... just irritates me so much I can't connect to the story.

I can't believe they have Liz and Tony together again. Couldn't see Ken and Audrey together. Will Kylie crack up before xmas?? Hope things be ok for Gary and Alya. Be interesting how it turn out for Jason after it all.

When was the last time Kirk had a serious or challenging storyline. Just seems he is there for the dim one liners which are running very thin.

Surely the actor must be bored. Although easy money I suppose

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,350 ✭✭✭Cortina_MK_IV

I'd call him and a few more "cute hoors," to just plod along and pay the mortgage while he can get it. Acting is a tough gig and he's got a great gig in Corrie. None of this I need new challenges cobblers.
