    Hi

    Just moved in to a big enough 2 storey house (rented) and got broadband installed and the entry point is a room downstairs.

    Here is what I want to do

    1. Have a WIRED connection to a room upstairs (office) by way of the plug in power line adapters.

    2. Boost or extend the wifi in the upstairs part of the house that is far away from the main wireless box (for smartphones etc) by way of plug in wifi boosters / extenders.

    Is there any of these plug in power line type devices that would do both of the above functions ?
