I'm using the latest version of Chrome and the independent.co.uk website has had the same front page for the past two weeks. I contacted their support and they told me to clear the cache which hasn't worked. I can't install any other browsers as I'm on a work computer, does anybody have any suggestions?.

Is it a windows computer? If so internet explorer should be installed by default anyways and you could try using that.

    Ctrl-F5 probably won't make a difference.

Chances are that it's a work proxy server that is caching and serving the same page to you. Chrome uses the same settings as IE.

Maybe try a slightly modified URL like http://www.independent.co.uk/news/

You can check the proxy server settings under Control Panel, Internet Options / Connections / Local Area Network Settings / Lan Settings / Proxy Server

but in work, you probably don't have permission to change this.

Internet Explorer is installed but it's an old version and the page just displays n a list from with no images on it.

Same thing, I can only disable the proxy server and the internet won't work then. It only happened since they updated the Independent website, fup it anyway

You could try the https://www.independent.co.uk if you didn't mind missing most pictures and ads.
