Ordered an a45 AMG with Gilmores Mercedes. Opted for a 162 plate. Nice people to deal with. I would strongly recommend Gilmores.

Are the waiting times that long?

Will be a cracking car. Did you get to test one before ordering?
    What are you changing from?

They are somewhat common here (maybe I just notice them now that I love them) in Australia and they sound absolutely amazing, the noise of the gear change. I've been contemplating one myself.

On a car like that 161 or 162 will make no difference to the residuals.

I'm keeping an eye on these myself, they've held their value very well. There's 2 2009 ones on carzone, one for 26k and one is 33k so as Dar mentioned, you'd be looking at a 30k average.

They fit into the 1200 a year tax band which isn't too bad. Loads of options in the UK if you're willing to travel as they sold very well there! I have never used these guys so I don't know much about them but I keep an eye on their stock from time to time. They buy cars at auction and import them. They have a nice lux pack 3 (highest spec) listed at the moment! they're estimating 27k ex VRT (which is 5300 according to the calculator) Obviously it wold work out cheaper to pick out a car and go buy it yourself but this method would be handy for someone who doesn't want to go down that option.

The new Astra OPC is a beautiful car too, and wouldn't be far off the pace of the RS I would imagine at 280 bhp! Its a nicer looking motor I reckon!

Thanks for the mention! Our model is focused on price, we are competitive on all vehicles. Top specifications are always keenly sought so prices are harder to predict on these, lower volume high value lots.

Saying that BCA and Manheim offer unique Condition and Mechanical grade reports inpart by the AA that provide more information than simply viewing the car. We guarantee these reports when bought through us so alot of security there.

You can read about our service at www.ukcarimports.ie and our list of 20,000+ vehicles can be viewed at www.ukcarimports.ie/records

A Total price is included for easy comparison to other sites and it includes an Auction Guide Price, VRT Estimate, Transport and our Fee (€295).

You can also read more about how it works on our FAQ page www.ukcarimports.ie/faq

    Thanks for that

Yes I can see its from October 2015

Buying a car is a big decision so 11 months isn't so long to decide so the information and contact I offer is possibly of interest to the person i replied to, if not - no harm done.
