    Hi
I am moving in to a new house and I was looking to get gas and electricity from the one provider. I was on your website but I am a bit confused, can I get the Nest as a new customer for free and on a dual bundle package? Can you send me a link to costs?

    Hi mel123,

Thanks so much for your interest in Electric Ireland.

That is correct - if you switch to Electric Ireland for dual fuel and you select the Nest plan, you will not have to pay any charge for the Nest thermostat itself, or for its installation. Payment of bills by direct debit, and online billing (instead of postal billing) are required, and this is a two-year contract.

Here is the relevant page on our website: https://www.electricireland.ie/switchchange/planOutlineDVS_nest.htm

Do let us know if you would like any further information/assistance.

    Una

    Thanks Una

If I order this in, how long does connection/installation take?

    Hi again mel123,

Are you already an Electric Ireland customer or would you be registering as a new customer/switching from another supplier?

    Thanks,
    Una

    Hi again mel123,

Thanks for confirming. Your registration with Electric Ireland will take approximately two weeks.

The length of time it will take for the Nest installer to come to your home varies.

The actual installation itself takes 30 minutes to an hour.

Our Home Services team specialise in assisting customers or potential customers who have Nest related queries, if you would like to speak to them (their telephone number is 1850 30 50 85 and lines are open until 6pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).

    Regards,
    Una
