Is there any 15" laptops on the market now that have 2 hard drive bays?

Don't want the option to replace DVD drive with adapter as DVD drives are fast becoming non existent on newer models anyway.

Do you want them both to be SATA (for RAID)?

Or would one SATA, + one M.2 of B or M type. or mSata or some similar config suit?

Ideally I would like both to be SATA but from what I can find they only appear to be on the 17" & high end models. Even at that the online sites don't seem to include any Info on how many drives a particular model has or can hold, you've got to dig deep online to get that Info.

I'm flexible if I have to be in so far as I do not want anything 17" as it defeats the whole potability factor of a lappy IMO so I'd consider the mixed option too I guess.

If your goal is capacity, then it wouldn't help much.

Only a handful of heavy 15" gaming laptops will have 2 x Sata.
Easiest search term for laptops is RAID 0 to identify dual sata bays.

A number of the Lenovos can accept a tiny 42mm long M.2 2242 form factor in the internal slot where they offer to fit a measly 16GB cache SSD or 3G WWAN card. Buying a third party 128 GB could take it's place.

As for Dells; if you google the name of the laptop + "service manual" it'll usually give the manual for the internals. One of Dell's last redeeming features.

The 15" Alienware has larger 2 x M.2 slots and the sata bay beside each other.

Dell Precision M4800 one internal 2.5 inch SATA HDD/SSD (SATA3) + one mSATA SSD (SATA2)
(with swapable DVD / hard drive bay also)

Capacity would be the priority over raid. Pity the manufactures don't make use of the space normally occupied by the media drive on machines coming without them and slap a second SATA bay in there instead.

Just in case you're looking at those pc specialist ones,
confirm with the detailed spec tab on each page.
that one linked earlier requires swapping out the DVD.

    Another
    http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/defianceII-15/
has the dual 7mm high Sata + dual M.2 2280's

    or
    http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/octaneII-15/
has dual 9.5mm high for the larger sata drives + dual M.2 2280's

    Pricy games oriented machines though.
