Nightfall: Winter's Run

Ishtar Sink, Venus As the Vex march to claim the Ishtar Sink, the Fallen House of Winter is raising a powerful Archon, stolen from the Prison of Elders in the Reef. Find the Archon before they fully restore his soul.

Modifiers
Specialist - Special Weapon damage is favored.
Fresh Troops - Some enemy squads have been fortified with additional reinforcements.
Exposure - Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish.
Trickle - Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.

Where are you seeing it's the Taken Version? I can't tell from the App. It's just has the normal flavour text

As awful as those modifiers are, I'd be tempted to run my first NF in weeks just to try out the strike, as I haven't played the Takeny one yet.

On the website, the image they have for ithas one of the blight balls (Edit: And a Taken Vex)

I think according to reddit it can be either version of the Winters Run strike.

If I do one activity this week (Sterling Treasure activities aside) It'll be the ole Oryx Loot Piñata.

You gotta whack that s**t and just watch it rain gear.

3 Challenge Runs netted me like ~20 pieces of 330+ gear last time (Granted 6 of them were Artifacts) but I got I think 4 or 5 exotics and a bunch of Primaries and Helms

This reminds me - I need to scrap a load of old gear that I've been holding on to. Every time I do the hard raid, I'm left waiting to see what drops - so I can delete something and free up space.

Destiny has turned me into a hoarder.

Are you using Destiny Item Manager (in chrome) or Tower Ghost (phone app)?

Before you scrap any gear, it might be worth checking how they are rated from a min/max int/dis/str perspective - you could have a 280 chest piece, that if infused, would offer 100% of the max stats available - and a 335 piece that only offers 88% (for example). Worth throwing an eye on it.

Tower Ghost and DIM both calculate and display the stat class of your armor.

Only really an issue if you want to try get a tier 12 build.

DIM can also now be configured to auto vault any engrams you pick up. Handy if you have the vault space.

Can you not get chrome on a mac? I know you can get Chrome on iPhone/iPad - but it is a mobile version without (as far as I know) extentions - maybe mac is the same.

Tower Ghost is on itunes and it offers the same armor grading functionality - i have it and Ishtar Commander on my Samsung, but both are on apple/itunes.

I have Chrome running DIM on my MacBook perfectly.

The quick bootup is so handy.

Is it really that strict there? We have blacklisted applications/programs here (spotify being one), but Chrome is on our whitelist and I've never heard anything said about any extentions people use - but yeah, VPNs and the like maybe not.

I would be one of the people who err's on the side of caution to be honest.

Anyway, I've downloaded Chrome now (I actually said it my boss even cause I'm a nerdy goody-too-shoes)

EDIT: With chrome now down, I asked an authority about the whole DIM thing.... apparently it's grand. I'm just mega paranoid... you hear these stories and watch a few episodes of Silicon Valley and welll.... yanno

Neither yes, nor no.... Kind of made the whole thing a Hypothetical and was like "Right off I go"

Opened Bungie.net. it came up on my Main Monitor next to him and it's the most obvious "Gaming" landing page ever....

Much rosy-cheeked-ness.... sure I make no bones about playing games anyway so it's all good :P

Don't use Hola. They were selling off people's bandwidth a few years back and I wouldn't trust them anymore.

I mean if it was 100% on purpose, they wouldn't have had him wearing NM gear. Warlocks hardly ever go with NM :rolleyes:
