I'm assuming as Conovar hasn't been on going bezerk about Mayhem Clash for a fourth week in a row there's some new pvp mode this week.

    Control and Supremacy.

Doubles is one of the weeklies.

to be honest - mayhem clash totally won me over. My K/D loved it.

Was playing it last night and started a game on Twilight Gap. Died 3 times in the opening 30 seconds as the other team just SPRINTED round in a pack - Think the other team got strength of the wolf off the bat.

Then I spawned over the other side (at A) and things changed…. Took out a couple, Golden Gunned 3 on heavy, got heavy, took out two stromcallers, two titans and a hunter with trip mines and heavy. Golden Gunned another couple. Then I got shoulder charged to death. Ended up with a comfortable enough win in the end - best around, 2.86 K/D with 25 or so kills. Then I called it a night on a high note!

Did the spinmetal part of this on sunday night,by far the worst, couldnt really find a decent route like the other ones. Ended up doing loops of the edges of the steppes and mothyards, took a good bit longer than the relic iron or helium filaments.

Have they removed flinch from ice breaker? All weekend been domed by it while landing hits on them.

Headshot - headshot - DOMED. A few times every damned match.

Jade rabbit, pdx, doesn't matter. Fecking domed.

doing weekly Supremacy a few weeks back and couldn't get any denys. Had all the legs done and 1/20 denials. Got 16 in two games then this weekend. Easy. Getting grenade kills with the void hunter not so easy.
Also anyone who hasn't picked up the vendor Parthian Shot this week needs to do so now.

Saw the NF was the wretched eye and my brain automatically went "nope!"
I now see it has Specialist and Arc burn, probably pretty easy after all.

Yeah, and most of the ads in that final room are arc aren't they? Those damn falling shanks? Let us know how you get on. :D

Did that against Phogoth 1st week of AoT. Lad was dead in 1.5 seconds :pac:

This week's NF was horrible. You really need a defender Titan in your fireteam to survive. The main boss and ogre are manageable but when you add in those shanks..... I now know what it feels like to be the fish in the "Shooting fish in a barrel" analogy :)

my font is huge for some reason. Wait now it's gone small. Ah it's primary damage not specialist. Zavo cell so.

    Nightfall: The Wretched Eye

Old Russia, Earth A Fallen high priest is warping an ancient science to his own twisted ends. Fight to the heart of a Hive nest to find the priest and end his atrocities.
    Modifiers
    • Arc Burn - Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
    • Small Arms - Primary Weapon damage is favored.
    • Juggler - No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
    • Airborne - Players deal more damage while in the air.
    • Daybreak - The Darkness grows stronger, and so do you. Form a fireteam of three and unleash your Light with greatly increased ability recharge.

Its not too bad as long as you focus solely on the shanks as they come down.

But I was also using the exotic Fatebringer which can eliminate entire mobs in a single bullet between explosive rounds and firefly when the arc modifier is on, small arms helped too.

I've been spending some time levelling my titan and I definitely see the benefits. Tanky as **** and the bubble is quick to redeploy

I prefer the shoulder charge/hammer punch use of the special in comparison to chucking them. had GREAT fun in mayhem clash just beating guys and gals up!

exotic chaos dogma - freaking melts the boss (and anything else) and huge ammo capacity if hitting crits.

Was using the exotic wrath pulse (steel....something?) in the heroics. great craic.

How feasible is getting a decent chunk of Challenge Mode VoG done at 380-385?

Have 3 friends looking to do it and wondering if they should stall on until they are higher

EDIT: None of these lads have Sleeper Simulant nor Black Spindle. I'm guessing G-Horn or Thunderlord are best for general use in the Exotic Slot

Do you know the shoulder charge glitch?

Run, shoot, crouch and melee for instant shoulder charge. You need to be running for about 1 second.

It takes a few go's to get right but works like a dream. I don't use it in PvP cause it's kind of cheating but is lots of fun in PvE!!

If you have a good relic runner the first challenge should be fine, imo. They are the ones doing the difficult bit - the other 5 should be able to stay in cover for the most part. Think it was Optimus that had a vid of him doing the relic at expert level, was crushing it.

Gatekeepers should be doable - I don't think it is spindle or sleeper dependent.

On Atheon himself, as long as they steer clear of the relic (might get unlucky with all 3 being teleported so they might need to get comfortable with it) it should be doable. As long as they work out the order of oracle killing and the movement required its not that dangerous from an ad perspective, imo.

I don't think light level is a problem on VoG as long as you play smart, but I could be well wrong on that given most of us have been running at 400 for ages.

    Palindrome roll this week

    True Sight

    Hot Swap/Icarus
    Rifled Barrel
    Luck in the Chamber.

    EDIT:

The Waltz - FWC Pulse Rifle. High Caliber Rounds, Outlaw/Perfect Balance, Glass Half Full.
Thats a good looking roll imo.
The Wounded - FWC Scout Rifle looks decent too - I'd go with Explosive Rounds, Unflinching, Hidden Hand.

Nothing else taking my fancy. Wormwood roll is ok.

Might have to see if I can recruit a good relic runner or learn myself so

Optimus taking care of both spots LIKE A BOSS.
    How I relic & block.

As he is running both spots the other five people just need to stay alive (with plenty of cover available at the back) and put DPS on the boss. Failing for them dying is a big no-no imo!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,976 ✭✭✭OptimusTractor

What's the dps drop off? I don't know what the lads where using but 5*400 = 3-4 blocks on a good run. Longer you go the more Minotaurs become a problem.

You doing a VOG run this week??

Yeah, just not sure when and kind of managing my own (and others?) expectations

Have 3 mates looking to do it. They are all between 384 -> 389 and none have Sleeper Simulant/Black Spindle/Exotic Swords etc though.

One has finished the VoG once, another 5 times and another not at all. None have experience with Challenge mode.

So it might be pushing it a bit given they aren't exactly kitted out excellently. They'd be short on reseources and motes and INT/DIS/STR and so on too like

So not sure if I will be helping all 3 of them in one sitting or what the deal is.
Optimus kindly offered to run the Templar Relic thankfully.

Is it worth trying a WotM Hard Mode (no challenge) with 2 out of 3 of them before hand for some 390+ drops I wonder? Try and close the gap between a struggle and an enjoyable challenge

I still need the vex so I can help out :)

TBH once they have high impact snipers and gally the DPS should be grand to get through it. 1 "Noob" with each experienced player should get you through it :)
