    Hi,

    I had to send some important letters this evening in St Andrews PO Dublin 2. Got there at 5.50 (closes at 6.00). It also opens tomorrow for a half day.

    Does anyone know if those letters would be delivered on Tuesday morning. Worried they might not be.

    depends on the last collection time from the location, for most places I know it's roughly 5:30pm, so anything sent after that won't be collected til Tuesday.

    Best bet is to post them in the letterbox outside the dublin mails centre on oak Road clondalkin.

    Definitely if you got them there by 10pm tonight, not sure about tomorrow.

    Thanks for posting that. I'm still unclear however if post is collected from post offices on a Saturday if the post office is open on Saturday

    I'm pretty certain An Post do not collect post on Saturdays. They stopped doing it some years ago, there was a big hoopla at the time about it.

    Normally no collections on saturdays but you can phone the post office in the morning and they can confirm. The number is on the link
