Lime application to lawn for moss removal

I had planned on applying lime pellets to a lawn next Spring, two weeks before applying Osmo moss remover. Recently I was told the green keepers at the local golf club apply lime pellets two weeks after the final cut for the season - circa October / November. Does anyone know which time of year is best? Thanks in advance
