Hey lads, just wondering if there is a noticeable difference going from 1080p to 1200p in gaming.

I'm thinking of upgrading and also wondering if my 970 would run games on ultra 60fps in 1200p.

    Thanks.

Do you mean 1440p? Upgrading from 1080 to 1200 wouldn't be worth it at all.

I went from 1080p at 60hz to 1440p at 144hz and its nice alright.
Will it change my games for ever, probably not but tbe extra screen space is lovely.
    Good luck with it

Thanks. When you say extra screen space is this because you got a bigger screen than before?

The physical size of the screen won't give you more 'space'. He's referring to pixels. Higher resolution = more screen real-estate. You could have a cinema screen in your house but if it's projecting 1920x1080 you've still only got as much space to work with as a 24" 1080p monitor.
