Any places recommended with low prices in city center?

Just broke a 13.3 inch, 3 year old laptop screen...on a bank holiday weekend..

    Thanks in advance.

Looked into it recently, the screens themselves if you were to buy are between 50-80. Got to imagine anyone doing it as a job, it would cost about 200 in total.
Considering you would get a new one for not much more, might be an idea to just hook it up to your tv as a media centre and get a new one.

It's not that difficult to do yourself, the older the laptop the less likely the need to have a heat gun or any specialist equipment. I'd say post in the Laptop forum on here and ask for advice. Otherwise I'd say most of the mobile phone type places would be able to help you, I'd be surprised if they'd have the parts in stock though.

Thank you. I'll repost this in the laptop forum.

If its going to cost too much I rather buy a new one but still will check out the price around.

Would you know how much they'd charge roughly?

I buy my screens from accuparts in the UK and fit them myself.YouTube is your teacher on this one. It's a 10 minutes job.

You can use their express delivery to Parcel motel and have it quiet quickly. They will ship on Monday if you order before.

PC repair shop I used to work in used to charge about 150 for a 15.6" laptop screen repair.

Not sure what model you have exactly but it would usually be about €50 for the screen from ebay, and replacing your broken 1 with the new 1 is literally about 6 screws and a wire. It's very simple if you google how to, you could probably even find someone showing how to replace your exact model on youtube.

I'd say figure out the price of the screen and add ~20% to it. If you want to post the Make & Model here we might be able to help, Limerick probably has the highest number of former computer assemblers in Ireland so you'll be well looked after.

It is HP pavillion g4 1112-tx

I'll bring it to techstar or other places during the week to see the price and post it here.
