Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any chance of depay coming on?? Might bring a bit of spark for last 10 mins

I don't think we are allowed a fourth sub.

He might have been better off leaving it to Rooney there

    Perhaps best at United

Rooney has been United's best defender.

United's best chance, but it comes from the old 'lump it up to the big lad'.

    oh rooney just **** off.

There really is no point in playing rooney these days, it's quite sad to see such a fall off the cliff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,632 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Commentator saying its great to see your number 9 striker back helping out defensively. Its not really though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

    Wahey it's over!

United got the point they set-up to get, City were nowhere near incisive or clever enough to break them done and Wayne Rooney looks like he's finished as a striker.

    Fair result.

United really had the better of that half. I'm sure a good game for the really tactical watchers out there. Not good for those looking for a whole load of excitement!

    Rojo was so good today.

    City parked the bus

I'll take that. Overall, not a great game for the neutral.

United, stood behind them and guided them where to park. No bite in the team today until the afro came on.

Body language of players saying a lot.. City lads thrilled with the point.. United players look seriously dissapointed...

Meh, point is an okay result. Could have had more though. Couple of chances near the end to get the goal but not taken. Rooney's best interventions in the game were defensive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Really needed Silva or Aguero. No spark with Bony lumbering around the front.

They should be happy. They are shorn of their two best players away from home in a derby. Not losing is a fantastic result for them.

And forgot to get off the bus to play the game.

Honestly don't think van Gaal offers anything to that group of players that Allardyce wouldn't. He's holding them back.

Utd reminded me of a benitez style team today, so so negative

I'm all for outlandish statements, but c'mon. Allardyce is to LVG what Holloway is to Klopp.

A dull draw, 1 point, excitement, no points.

    Daniel Storey @danielstorey85
55% passing accuracy for Wayne Rooney. No shots on target. No chances created. Lost possession five more times than any other player.
    Sums up his season.

Precisely. If we'd had Kun and Merlin in the side today, I'd have been disappointed with the result and performance. But we didn't. Still a bit disappointed in the performance though; I feel we could have had more of a go at united in the second half. In my opinion, that was not a great defensive unit that united had out there today, but we never really tested them that much. Ah well; take the point and move on.

Ah here, Neville thought he defended a cross really well so he justified his inclusion.

Yeah, I didn't say he was good or anything. He wasn't as detrimental to the team compared to the rest of his games, he just didn't have much around him in support when he did get it.

Don't you know? Apparently you can't be concentrating on your own team if you're posting in another match thread but amazingly you can be if you're posting in your own team's match thread.
    A mind bender I'm sure you'll agree.

Its nothing wrong with his effort per say but he is playing so badly... it l9oks like he is bereft of confidence.. he is loosing possesion all too often.. getting pushed off the ball and his touch has been poor.. he is very dropable at the moment how long he will keep getting picked or keep playing poorly is anyones guess..

Which was rare as he kept losing it by poor passes or not holding it up to get others involved.

When he did get it,he lost it,turned into a defender and was tackled or the ball simply bounced away off him.If he wore a velcro suit and the ball was coated in cotton wool he still couldn't make it stick. It's terrible to see how he has regressed so much that he can't even control a 5 yard pass to him.
