Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TNO takes charge of his first home PL fixture and is looking for his first win. Today's test sees a solid Southampton side come to Anfield without any major injury concerns, Liverpool are without Henderson, flannigan, Ings, Gomez and Sturridge.

    Probable line up

    .....................Mig
    ..Clyne..Skrtel..Sakho..Moreno
    ..............Can...Lucas..
    ....Lallana...Couthinio...Firmino
    .................Benteke

Won't see this game, so a win looks quite possible.

I'm going out on a limb here and predict a 1-1 draw which should be a huge novelty to Liverpool fans.

    4-4 goal fest

Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Milner, Coutinho, Lallana, Orig

Bogdan, Toure, Benteke, Firmino, Allen, Ibe, Randall

So then the ITK ITKnows nothing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Where are the goals coming from in that team.

That's what struck me - not a reliable goalscorer in the team.

    Skrtel is a reliable scorer.

Just a pity it's for the opposition...

Right, now that we've trudged through those other games, onto the main event.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

I see Klopp has truly arrived today by ditching the suit and tie. No hat yet though.

Hoping we can keep up our run of draws indefinitely for lols

Dying with the cold here so I expect a comprehensively enjoyable game to lift my mood

Southampton fans are a noisy bunch of *****.

Bright start. If Origi could get the finish to match his movement, he'd be a great player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

I see Klopp has told someone to attack the first man from the corner as the ball never gets over him.

Would be great for Origi to get on the scoresheet today.

Yep and I'm so weary now, I'm not sure I can keep up the pressing of buttons and keys for 90 minutes.

Getting a dead ball specialist (Pjanic?) would help this team so much

Southampton fans make a bit of noise

    Origi board.

Liverpool definitely playing with more pace since Klopp's arrival. Good to see

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Coutinho all over the pitch and not being marked by Southhampton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Milner must be feeling a bit of deja vu

Last week captain and playing central, this week stripped of the captaincy and playing out wide again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Coutinho & Origi aren't on the same wavelength at all

Hes only vice capitan. I thought he was still wearing the armband though.

Southampton using the camouflage tactic with their jersey colour today

    First shot of Mr. Glass.

Good to hear Black Sabbath , ZZ Top and Rammstein have been added to the Pre-Match playlist at Anfield (apparently)

We're a bit crap going forward.

Coutinho looking terrible at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,996 ✭✭✭✭billymitchell

Somebody needs to teach Mig how to clear the ball first time, always has to take a touch

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

We miss Hendo so so much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Still don't seem sure where to go when we get a chance to break.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Klopp really needs to train Coutinho into a central midfield position because he's not working as number 10, badly needs to be further back on the pitch.

    Look so toothless going forward.

    Milner very poor so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    Milner playing poorly again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Milner is just a less talented Dirk Kuyt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

    This is awful

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Coutinho could do with being rested for a couple of games.

Couthinio plays better with two in front of him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

The team are too used to trying everything through Coutinho. Need some major shaking up

  • Registered Users Posts: 917 ✭✭✭Mr_Muffin

    Liverpool look solid enough.

With Sturridge, Benteke and Ings back they will have the firepower to start scoring a few - something seriously lacking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

A fit and starting Benteke and Firmino would really change the dynamic of this team.

Coutinho only real partnership is with Sturridge he isn't on the same wavelength with any of the others in the squad.
