Lots of good options this week.
Kinda wish Aguero was fit as it would make this decision so much easier.
    I'm on Pelle for now.

KDB. No one else in my team really interests me

    Lukaku(SUN)
    Gonna stay with Harry!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

    Kane(AVL)
BUIB. KDB was too isolated on the wing last match. Granted, he might be very different against Norwich.

Kaku. Although with the way Bournemouth are defending does make the big man tempting.

De Bruyne or Bony, probably De Bruyne.

Poll needs more "team playing Bournemouth this week" players.

Eriksen for me. Or Mane if I bring him in.

KDB, Sanchez, Bony and Pelle are all good options this week. Not an easy decision. I'll change it about 50 times. Straight off the bat I'll say De Bruyne but who knows.

Yeh when you look at the average positions its ridiculous how isolated he was. No other City players average position was further forward than the centre cirlcle whereas he was half way in the United half. He did play very central though so wouldn't be worried about him playing out wide like last week.

For me it's between (in order of preference) KDB, Pelle and Lukaku.

Both Bournemouth and Norwich have conceded heaps goals on the road.

    I've got options folks.

Pelle, KDB, Bony, Lukaku and Sanchez in that order as of now.

It's all going to go horribly, horribly wrong isn't it? :)

Alot of those options have never been great captain material. Always fluff when you expect them to score big.

/stares at Lukaku and clenches fist

    KDB.

If I bring in Kane, maybe him (something about a Monday night captain which I love - it also helps when it's against Villa).

  • Registered Users Posts: 850 ✭✭✭lougal88

    De Bruyne(NOR)
I'm tempted to stick it on Pelle also and if he blanks I have an excuse to get rid of the BUIB!!

But City could hammer Norwich, so more likely Boney.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,595 ✭✭✭MarkSRFC21

    Kolarov(NOR)
Loads of options atm. Considering kdb, bony, pelle, Sanchez and payet in that order. I think kdb is the safest option so I'll stick with him

buib lets do this. have to pick either him or Mane with the form Bournemouth are in. Come on you big handsome devil!

KDB (c) and Pelle (vc) atm.

    Undecided.
    Bony Lukaku or Mane.

Am afraid of KdB's game time... he's starting tonight and then they have CL midweek. Might just go with Pelle.

Would do it if I had him too tbh. Although Villa will be more defensive now.

Surprised to see KDB so far ahead. Given Bournemouths form I'm probably gonna go Pelle although I know Norwich havent been much better

**** it, I'm going with my gut with this.

I had it on KDB but I'm going with Pelle. Bournemouth's team is no where near a Premier League standard, and now that they've lost those three players through injury, and the PL novelty is beginning to wear off, I really believe they won't win more than 3 more games this season, and this is gonna show in the next few weeks.

So my gut it is, BUIB for the captaincy!

    I couldn't agree more.

I think Bournemouth are in for a horrible time for the rest of the season.

I'd rather captain Mane than Pelle (I have neither). Mane is more explosive and I'm pretty sure has a higher goal involvement

Pelle has been involved in 10 goals, Mané 8. Tbh I'm not enthused by either. I don't like captaining players with a much higher than 50% blank percentage. I'd usually judge this over the current season and the season before. My theory on this is avoid the captain blanks and the big scores will look after themselves.

Yeah was just gonna post that Pellè's is higher this season. Percentage wise its 50% goal involvement for him vs around 44% Mane.

The bad news for Pellè is that he's in my team currently which to date has been the catalyst which has transformed him into his alter ego BUIB.

I think I even coined that nickname last season..

50% for Mane last season though was higher than Pelle. I think KDB or Bony are best options regardless

I don't even like goal involvement as a stat, except for situations like this where we're comparing 2 guys from the same club. 30% goal involvement at City could well be better than 70% at West Brom.

I just cant trust Pellè. Invariably he blanks when I give him the armband.

The only time it worked last season it was a complete fluke. I think I had Costa captained and when he didn't play it transferred to Pellè as my vc who got something outrageous like 17 points.

So for now, it's on KdB.

Mané was involved in 3 less goals than Pelle last season. Are we judging this on games or minutes played or something?

I don't think it's invariably when you give him the armband. He blanks very frequently. Same with Lukaku.

Whatever FFS membership does, so I guess goal involvement when on the pitch

Of course you're right. They are just very unreliable players from a fpl point of view. And captaining them should come with an obligatory 'Are you sure?' warning on the FPL site I think. :pac:

Not a fan of that for reasons which are probably obvious. We should be looking at being a rotation or injury risk as a negative, not a mitigating circumstance.
