Stoke v Chelsea is one of those matches that's hard for a gooner. Both teams I hate, but the schadenfreude is too strong!

Haha Chelsea :D Keep it up!

It's a pretty special failure from Chelsea alright. No half measures :)

Not hard at all. Stoke are certainly my enemies, but not in the same league of awfulness as Chelsea (well, Jose).

I write a bit of football stuff for a website where you basically write a preview of a match, got alot of nasty comments and criticism after saying that Stoke would win this one or at worst grab a draw. Felling pretty smug right now but I wont be getting any apologies il bet

But the thing is even though Jose lost that many games, the press are nowhere near hard enough on him they are making excuses. If it was Wenger they be calling for his head.

Really don't want to divert our thread, but this Chelsea run has the mark of a fix! Is Mourinho looking for an exit from Chelsea and another big pay out? Seriously? Taking the runaway premier league winners, and make them into relegation fodder at present. (not that I expect them to go down at all!) but he has now lost 7 games so far.

I'm delighted obviously for 2 reasons... 1 is that we are challenging for the title this season, and thankfully that threat from them is removed, at least temporarily.

The 2nd reason is because of the moronic, childish and spoilt way Mourinho behaved with Wenger in the past. Further from a gentleman, you could not get. That eye gouging thing in Spain was reprehensible. He's a horrible f**k, and this is fantastic to watch. Shame on the Chelsea fans, but they've enjoyed huge success in the past, they need some fixing and balance :-)

Tomorrow? I'm actually nervous. The team should obviously want to bash them down after that "display" on Wednesday. Apprehensive!

There are rumours of him wanting to get sacked and paid off, but that would seem a little far fetched to me. Not least cos he's already absolutely loaded, and he loves Chelsea and they love him. But these rumours surely only came about because what's happening is just so bizarre it defies any reasonable explanation.

It's crazy for reigning champs to play like this, but far, far crazier for one of his teams to be so weak.

Frankly, I just keep looking at the gap between us and them, and thinking worst case scenario, can they still catch us? The answer is very much yes. I love Arsene, but doing an Arsenal to end all doing an Arsenals is still a possibility!

It can just happen I guess, something similar happened to Dortmund last season where they went from being the closest challengers to Bayern to losing every game and ending up at the wrong end of the table for a long spell. They say winning is contagious, so is losing. This is a big shock to the system for alot of these Chelsea players and they dont seem to be reacting well

I was just thinking this my self,Dortmund where on a horror run and was it Nuer and Hummells went over to the fans apologizing after a loss, disnt see any of the Chelsea look remotely bothered by this loss never find trying to apologize.

Jose HAS to be gone regardless what he has done in the past hes dragged a title winning team just shy of regulation zone.I dont think he wants to lose but what ever happened behind closed doors hasnt helped and its going from bad to worse.Roman is a business man and not getting top 4 is a major loss and if they are going to be spending big in january/summer its a must to get there.
My money on Jose out and fight for 4th begins.

Some posted up in the match thread that after losing today Chelsea have to average 2.25 points per game for the rest of the season if they are to get 4th, which is a BIG ask. Top 4 is effectively gone for them.

    !

Jose loves Jose number 1. He couldnt give a fúck for Chelsea. He is an egotist, a meglomaniac, and a blight on any existing sportsmanship or camaderie within the game. The pompous b@stard is finally getting his karma.

And still the media lap him up because he provides their toxic business with his snide click bait.

I hope Eva takes him for millions too. To humiliate the medical staff so publicly in the fashion in which he did shows what a nasty vile bully he really is.

The chickens are finally coming home to roost....its a great time to be alive :)

Ya its a big ask no doubt but with jose at the helm its going to be more of the same and leaving him there for January and his buys is basically pointless if the underlying problems can not be resolved.
Its like they say about one bad apple and it rings true, some how hes rottened Hazzard Cesc and Costa.

Much as I want to agree, I'm not 100% sure Roman got into this as a business venture.

Otherwise he might want some of his "loan" back.

They're still only nine points off Tottenham and So'ton and 6 points behind Liverpool (albeit two of those have yet to play this week). I thought 8 days ago that the fourth spot is still pretty manageable, but now it's looking like a big ask.

However their run for the next 6 games is just what they need. They have home games such as Norwich and Watford and an away trip to the spuds which will be a six pointer. They could easily pass out Liverpool within the next six games.

Ya his bankroll is pretty much bottomless but regardless he didnt get like that from losing money from potenail tv rights deals and champ league money which should nearly be a cert with that team.

Yep! 16 police horses just clip clopped past my front window. A bit early for that!

I have rarely seen trouble actually at the game but upper street and Holloway road can be like a war zone hours after the match once everyone is tanked up.

Nervous about today. Can't blame the injuries as we always have them but think the pace of Walcott suits Ozil, Sanchez and Santi much more than Giroud albeit I am a big fan of his.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

No point in talking about who's out of the team now. We have to do it with who's in the team today. Hoping Kos starts to shore up a rattled defence and i can see Ox starting on the right and Campbell on the bench. We need a big game from our midfield too. If on their game and the should be for a NLD then Ozil, Santi and Sanchez can make enough chances for a victory.

    3 -- 1 to the Gooners.

Gonna go with a 2-1 win. Spurs are unbeaten in there last 10 with a big win over City. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they knick a draw.

Would love it if good old Remi Garde did us a favour today. Good man Remi!

Meanwhile, Sagna starts for City, Clichy on the bench. Just saying. Bit of an ex Gooner fest there today.

But where's that Nasri lad? Does he still play for City?

No team would want to be seen with him playing for them :D

New coach is usually a good thing for a team, but I think the difference is huge, can't see anything but a City win.

3 points are very important today. Pocchetino is doing a good job for them, so I want patience in the game.
It will be extremely important for us to score first so we can control the game.

At halftime I fear for this thread if we lose here.

    A win and everything's great, Wenger's vindicated, we're top.

A loss and it's same old same old Arsenal, we'll never win anything, Wenger out.

No urgency in the team. Some of them not putting a lot into it at all.
Hope Wenger reads the riot act at h/t.

In fairness this is our chance to grab the bull, if we bottle it its just the usual.

If we grab it then we might see something we haven't for years.
