Just curious if anyone's heard of any plans for a 24/7 gym in Cork near City Center? I heard a very loose rumour few months back but nothing ever came out of it I think. What about hotel gyms? Are they 24/7? I don't mind shelling out a bit extra.

Too be honest it's a bit disappointing we don't already have a 24/7 gym, Cork is the "real capital" but does has nothing to offer for people working non-ordinary hours other than a 24/7 Tesco :(

It's not anymore, but even if it was.. That's not really in town :( I'd be willing to go as far as Wilton, but not further in to the wilderness ;)

I thought dennehys was in Douglas.

Anyway. The only 24/7 gyms I know of are the ones that companies provide for their employees on site. Maybe ask your employer for some equipment?

I'm sure if there were a demand for 24/7 gyms there would be st least one. There clearly isn't.

I think a lot of people may just be waiting around for one to pop up (as they seem to have popped up absolutely everywhere else around Europe) without actually asking for one :-)

To be honest I don't even know where I'd go with such a request, I don't know enough people in Cork to start any kind of group really... Boards.ie is as far as I can stretch, maybe someone knows someone who knows someone who could change something :-)
