I am a freelance journalist doing a feature radio documentary, as part of my college course work, in which I aim to examine the topic of womb transplants.

I think this is an extremely interesting issue that surprisingly has not received much media coverage.

Just recently, the Health Research Authority in the UK have granted ethical approval for 10 transplants. The first British baby born from a transplanted womb could arrive as soon as late 2017 or early 2018.

I find this extremely exciting and the fact that these trials are being carried out so close to home really calls for Ireland to stand up and take notice.

I would be interested in speaking with a woman who's only options are surrogacy, adoption, or not to have children, to give a human aspect to the issue.

I wish to speak with a woman who would be interested in telling her story and highlighting the need for Irish trials?

For more information please do not hesitate to contact me on this thread.

    Thanks for your time.
