    We are delighted to present New York's finest Danny Krivit for our festive end of year blowout

    Danny Krivit is an American DJ and producer whose story is intrinsically linked to that of New York's journey with house music. He grew up in New York during the 60s, surrounded by all forms of music from a young age - his parents played jazz and owned an after hours called 'One's', where the budding DJ met the likes of John Lennon and Harry Nilsson.

    His first high profile residency was at The Roxy, the home of some of the best hip-hop DJs of that era like Grandmaster Flash and Africa Bambaata. There he learnt the mechanics of re-editing his favourite records for the floor, a technique which is now considered one of the cornerstones of house music. These re-edits and cut ups trickled out via his label TD Records, leading to major label remix work for Polydor Records, who employed him to work on classics by James Brown, Gloria Gaynor and Brenda and The Tabulations.

    It was in the 90's, however, when he teamed up with Joe Clausell and Francois K to run Body and Soul, that his sets moved into the realm of the legendary. These Sunday afternoon sessions summoned up the spirit of the original after hours parties in NYC, with a brave and broad musical menu that moved from hip hop and neo-soul to jazzy deep house, disco classics and techno.The club became famous world-wide with a series of compilations that found themselves in DJ's boxes across the musical spectrum.

    These days Danny is a firm favourite at clubs around the world, where he mixes up all sorts of genres and does so in an educational, engaging and always floor focused way. He now runs a monthly party in NYC called the 718 Sessions, the sound of which can be heard on 718 Sessions (2009) on Nervous Records. You can also check out his edits under the mysterious 'Mr K' moniker. To say we're delighted to have him on board for our Christmas party is the understatement of the year!

    On support duties is all round legend and one of Dublin's finest Billy Scurry. Billy has been playing house music all over Dublin and well beyond for over 20 years - we couldn't think of anyone better to warm up for this true legend. Taking control in the smoking area Nightflight,Groovement Soul and Fatty Fatty djs will be kicking out some favourites all night from 10pm
