The guy that owns Kavanaghs runs it now he used to lease it out so should be a good shop now but haven't had a pint in it for years.

Slice - the post I was replying to mentioned it.

Manor place, just up from Maureen's.

Take it you mean Love Supreme. If you don't like it, fair enough, but they're just trying to provide good food and coffee in an area asking for good food and drink. Resenting 'the hipsters' is a pretty cliche. If it's not your scene, you don't have to worry.
Sorry, yeh I guess, in fairness the sausage rolls and breakfast pies are pretty good.

It's half way between City Arms and Kavanaghs.

Anyone know anything about The Orchard pub, opposite new DIT Grangegorman? Passed by and it looks interesting and they have live music. Gonna give it a try one of these days.

Have been in there a few times. The lads who work there are sound. The place itself seems a bit odd to me; outside the place looks like it'll be a hipstery craft beer pub, but you get inside and it hasn't changed at all (afaik) from when it was the Grangegorman. The clientele seems to be mostly working class locals. Not being either I could be wrong, but it is a different sort of crowd to say, Walshes or Mulligans.
