Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would think it was Bottas who should have backed off

that's the way i saw it too, there was no way he was making the apex

Kimi is the new crashtor! :D

When did pastor last crash?....a good 56 days. Jaysus!

I'd like to see that incident from the front but Kimi should have given more space

    Vettel is having a howler.

Kimi knew he was right there. Bottas was right to fight for it. It wasn't like he lunged out of nowhere either.

3rd place driver is 20 seconds behind Nico.:mad:

I'm surprised there isn't more overtaking on the main straight.
Could it be related to the altitude? I know the turbochargers are supposed to make the altitude irrelevant, but it's over 7,000ft above sea level after all.

He was still behind though, I know Bottas had no where to go but such a tight corner not sure Kimi could have given much room anyway

Good to see Bottas race not ruined by it anyway

Yeah and the last few corners don't allow the cars to get close enough to those in front maybe.

The williams is nearly going 230mph, ****in hell.

If he was half a car behind I'd agree but he was only a foot or 2 behind. I think it was a bit naïve of Kimi not to expect Bottas to be there. Wonder if there's a bit of history between them.

Radio messages that Hams first set of tyres were down to 0% confirm that Rosberg did do the sensible thing with the first set of tyres and leave it as long as possible so there could be no hammer time

    Super Ric!!

Hamilton's responded by setting the fastest lap twice. More rubber means more racing?

Hopefully this will bring the race to life. Lots of cars pitting. What did Perez do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,397 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

    Bottas staying out seems odd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

Jesus, Bottas has done 44 laps on those tyres!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,951 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

First double DNF for Ferrari since 2006, insane.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

He eventually came in. Probably will kill his race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,951 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Perez also didn't pit, he could be well screwed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

Go Bottas. Red Bulls sitting ducks without DRS on the straights.
