Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not clear about the seat breaking. The suggestion here is that youngsters were a bit enthusiastic, like toddlers clambering on furniture or 5 year olds jumping with excitement. It sounds remarkable that seats would be so flimsy in a modern stadium.

The simple question is, were they broken on purpose or accidentally? And what ages are these kids, roughly.

Here's the damage. Maybe a few of the Dundalk lads could skip a meal or two?

They were never broken before accidently or on purpose so there was no need for it yesterday. Hate that sort of thing.

    Ah.

I think my image of 4 year olds jumping with excitement and cracking shoddy seats is gone anyway.

I mean, is row K kicked out of the screws holding it into the concrete?

Congrats to Dundalk on the double. They took over the match after around the 65 minute mark. Cork were well in it until then and had contained Towell very well and Horgan decently. But after that point they became very much the key men for Dundalk. The goal was well created by Horgan. Cork tried very hard but ultmately just were not good enough.

However, such unsporting behaviour should not be attributed to all Dundalk fans.

Absolutely not, had good chats with a fair few up there, all pretty sound and sporting in winning.

Cork fans really sounding like a bunch of whingers on here.

As above. 1 fan's opinion shouldn't be cast over multiple fans on here.

    These things happen.

    They don't though.

Save for the England match in 1994 when have the seats been ripped up in Lansdowne before? Fairly disgraceful stuff.

    What's the cup final purse?

The winner gets about 35k of 50k and the cup finalists share the gate after the FAI take a share.

Are those seats even broken? Is it not a case of just bolting them back on? It was also hugely ****ing frustrating to see the Indo LEAD with that sports story on their website last night. Unbelievable and it shows the contempt for the league in some corners.

The ridiculous yellow card fines should cover repairs. No worries.
