I'm a current leaving cert student. I want to do psychology but I know I won't get the points. I was looking at maynooth university and they offer psychology as an arts subject. Is there anyway you can transfer into the bachelor degree course from the arts course like you can do for the marketing course ?

That's exactly how Psychology in arts work. You take it as a subject in first year and if you get in the top 30 (I think) of the arts class you get an offer to transfer into the single honours Psychology BA. If you don't get that you will have to drop psychology and continue with your other two subjects in a double honours BA

No unfortunately as of 2016 they will have changed the course and call it Psychological Studies so you can't transfer after first year, you can complete the 3 yr Arts degree and then do a year after that to get PSI Accredited :)
