Surprised there isn't a thread on this already but can anyone recommend a vet in the Dun Laoghaire / Deansgrange kind of area?

Going to adopt a 5 year old collie soon.

    Thanks

Con Fleming in Sandycove Vets is very caring and knowledgeable:

I'll echo the above. We got a pup recently and Con has been very helpful indeed, seems like a great guy.

I can't recommend Con (Sandycove veterinary practice) highly enough. A really good and caring vet.

I use the Village vets in Stillorgan, have been really great so far (2 yrs).

They have a sister practice in Dundrum and it was in our favour a few weeks ago - we were dropping off our cat for his holiday in the DSPCA cattery for a weekend and forgot his vaccination card. They were able to ring the sister vets on a Saturday afternoon and confirm that everything was up to date.

They open late evenings too which is helpful!

Another +1 for Con Fleming. All our cats have been cared for by him over the years.

We used Village Vets as well and they are very good also. The upside is that they are open late and with many vets/locations you can be seen on a very short notice, the downside is that you might be seeing different vets (but they do keep good documentation on your pet).

Slightly outside of Deansgrange (only slightly) but can't recommend Blackrock Veterinary Clinic (on Carysfort Avenue) highly enough, specifically Eamonn Moore. He's even won plenty of vet of the year awards and has an incredible demeanour with pets and is so friendly.

Very caring and always very thorough. The rest of the staff are fantastic there too.

    Thanks for all the replies.

We're off to see Con tomorrow after the 4 recommendations on here.
