Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Probable XI:

    Potential-XI-vs-CSKA-Moscow-Nov-3.png

    ATTACK,ATTACK,ATTACK????

Will we see more than one shot on goal? Will Rooney be once again given a free pass despite being absolute rubbish?

LVG says we need to improve, will he take off the shackles and allow the players express themselves?

“This season we have stood first in the Premier League and now we are having a bad period because football is about scoring goals not creating chances.

“We have to improve that and I hope we shall score against CSKA Moscow but I know it shall be very difficult because they are very organised and they shall play even more defensively than Crystal Palace.”

They may not. CSKA’s last three visits to Manchester have seen them score seven times against United and City, although it says something for the Russian side’s defensive frailties that only one of those matches was won. Nevertheless, United should expect to score at Old Trafford if they want a point.

Usually that would be routine but the feeling is that Van Gaal’s side are over-coached and over-anxious. Only one team in the Premier League has had more possession and only one has had fewer shots.

In 1981, United fired manager Dave Sexton because his intricate football had become so unfathomably dull. Gordon McQueen, then United’s dominant centre-half, told Sexton in exasperation: “Why doesn’t somebody cross the ball, I can get my big, stupid head on it, put it in the back of the net and we can all **** off home.”

I found it pretty surprising that Tv3 are showing Real Madrid vs PSG. When was the last time an English teams match wasn't shown on Irish tv during the group stages.

Edit: scrap that, it's on Setanta Ireland.

  • Should be an absolute cracker with a complete attacking performance from an on fire Utd side....

    Hopefully not one more 0-0

Depay missed the team bus earlier and had to drive to meet up with the team, that'll go down well with Louis. He's notoriously strict on punctuality.

Its a sign of how bad Utd are to watch of late.
Not shown on terrestrial tv and last on Match of the Day .
When was a Manchester derby last on Match of the Day ?

Surprised that they didnt pick Sevilla vs Man City ,that could be a cracker ,the PSG Real match in Paris was a poor enough affair.

CSKA team bus is stuck in traffic so their team lineup is delayed.

    You reckon?

Over the years they haven't been quite poor on the road away from home in the CL.

I'm puzzled. I don't have a Setanta/BT subscription, but Setanta Sports HD showing the Man Utd game is working for me right now on my UPC Horizon box.
Is it going to shut off once the build up is over?

I can't imagine Tv3 showing that game if Liverpool were involved in the CL and playing on the same night. At least we don't have to suffer Tv3's terrible coverage and 6 minute ad breaks.

    Glazers Out!

Looks alot like 442 to me havent seen that in a while.

  • Great ball from Rooney

It's a better start from Utd than I've seen in a while but it's hardly the kind of explosion out of the blocks you'd expect from a team like Man Utd when they haven't scored in 3 games.
