Buying Land with my Pension

Hi All - I have a pot of money in a pension from my last job. Does anyone know if I can buy land with a portion of the fund and if I don't have enough in the fund could I top up with my own money. The plan would be to build on the land in 5-10 years time when I save up some money (and rent out to non family).

You can certainly buy property with your pension plan, by purchasing it in trust through your pension, but I have never come across the purchase of land under a pension unfortunately.
