Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sloppy from Caz, super goal

    Turning into a rout now.

Can't see the second half being much better because Bayern don't tend to take the foot off the pedal

Great strike. Cech was poor though.

I'd say Leicester would give them a game.

and they decend in to their villains liar.

This is pretty crushing. Bayern are a smashing side, far too good for us. Great on the ball and work so hard to get it back, constantly dangerous. There's nothing comparable to them in the premier league

So the home win was a flash in the pan then. So disappointing to just turn up and not even bother

Thats no excuse. I would think more PL teams would make a bigger effort.

Bayern havent even made it out of second gear and Arsenal are unsuccessfully playing damage limitation

Imagine what they'd do to a side like Liverpool. Scary to be honest

We now have gegenpressen to counter-act the free hand Bayern would otherwise have, Wenger is the anti-Klopp tonight.

Was expecting Wright to try justify O'zils 'goal'.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

Really poor defending for all 3 goals, Bayern are the better side, but this is really disappointing. Hopefully we make a better go of it in the second half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

Well could do a LVG put 10 men behind the ball and lob it to Giroud in a hit and hope way I suppose

Or Park the bus like Chelsea

As soon as that first goal went in, the correct amount effort to put in was 'as little as possible'.

Top of the league. Down to 11 players and a huge derby coming up on Sunday.

There is literally no point in trying here.

Or Man Utd, Chelsea they would put both those sides to the sword right now.

You seem to be getting very defensive of Arsenal there efb.

Well United won and Chelsea are winning so maybe Arsenal could adopt something from both.

E for effort as my teacher said

F you can't win save your attention for what you can

The UCL is a dead duck

    100 euro on arsenal 4-3

If the other result stays the same, I still fancy arsenal to go through.

I love the tit for tat Premier League stuff going on here when the reality is Bayern are so far ahead of all the English teams and would beat any of them 9 times out of 10.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,784 ✭✭✭KungPao

    Final score will be 3 - 4.

Hat trick for Joel Campbell, one for Per.

    I'm fairly confident of that.

Poppycock. If Bayern played in the EPL they'd know all about it. Arsenal had an absolute war over the weekend in their 3-0 win away to Swansea.

Bayern played some randomer team that rolled out the red carpet and rolled over 0-0.

    Isn't it great.

A great German team is beating an English team so a load of Irish people go online and slag off other Irish people about it.

This is a Match Thread. Match is between Bayern Munich and Arsenal, just in case anyone had forgotten. :pac:

Atmosphere in the ground is excellent, though drums aren't my cup of tea.

Absolutely nothing on the bench that could change things for Arsenal, worrying with the weekend coming up.

Nothing to do with winning any threads, just pointing out that the lads throwing stones at arsenal generally support sides who can't even get into the competition. It's bizarre.
