    Help, please....

I just woke up to a very sick looking computer.

It must have turned on automatically during the night to run defrag, or whatever. I'm not sure.

    It's a DELL Precision T3400 running Windows 10.

However, a few years ago, I had it split into three drives. Two large storage drives and one small software drive.

The exact text I'm seeing on the black screen now is as follows:

"Drive 2 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-2
Alert! Failed to detect one or more drives during POST.
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility.
Press F5 to run onboard diagnostics."

    If I press F1, F2 or F5, nothing happens.

    Help, please!

    Thanks.

    D.

Have you shut it off yet and put it back on? Had a couple of dells in work do something similar the other week where they powered on themselves and had error about no hard drive but shut down rebooted and hasn't happened since.

    Just did that.

Getting a "Configuring Windows updates now......."

    Fingers crossed!

    Thanks.

    Seems to be sorted......

The updates took nearly 10 minutes.

I then did a Restart, just to be sure.

How do I check if everything is now up to date?

    Thanks again.

If you go to windows update and click check for updates it will tell you if there is any more to install.
