Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great to see Ibe back in form. Confidence is vital for a player like him especially.

I'm happy with the first half. Kazan are good defensively. I think we just need to keep doing what we're doing and hope they make a mistake

Many families with kids have got cold and bored and just went back home from the stadium at halftime.

He hasn't quite set the world alight but he's still a decent player that can play in a few positions.

I think he is a decent player when he plays wide, he is very ordinary in CM. After that I dont believe he is any use at other positions. LB/RB - no way. Where else?

He is a decent player, and that's not good enough. Solid 6 out of 10, sometimes a 7. Meh-fest.

Ha, Klopp looks hilarious on the sideline, coat tucked up around his face.

Good positive start to this second half, Kazan have barely touched it.

    That's a great tackle.

Get in... we're playing super stuff.

And if anyone ever questions how good Sakho is again they should be shot.

    Who needs Raheem?!

Can play anywhere in midfield and I'm sure he could do a job at full back if needed. There is certainly far more weaker links in the the squad than Milner.

Good man, Ibe. He's really blossoming under Klopp.

****in great, that's been a fantastic 6 minutes of pressure this half, just non stop driving, good football all round.

Also major Kudos to Sakho - mops up everything that comes into our half and instantly gets it back into dangerous areas.

Class goal. Taking the game by the scruff.

    Well I be damned.

    Great finish. Great play.

Does Pellegrini get his players to do that too?

Firmino been class tonight. A changed player since Klopp arrived

    Bit dramatic alright.

That's a stretch. He was injured for most of the season prior to that

The ref is very butch looking, I'd say she'd burst ya.

Can's leg was raked there but his theatrical flop did him no favours at all and was horrible to see.

Michael Owen really is a spa.

Yep, don't think there can any arguing/downplaying the improvement.

The best thing about this nearly is how we've kept our foot on the gas since the goal. Go fo the throat lads, they're rubbish.

    Equaliser incoming :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

That's both Benteke and Can now who have had studs raked down their achilles tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

    Penalty all day long!

Owen's biggest problem as a commentator is that he never changes his mind. He makes a snap call on his initial view and sticks to it, even if replays show he was wrong. Makes him look daft, as he did on that penalty shout.

Klopp asking the fourth official 'What are you waiting for?' :D

    Great run by Clyne there.

These straight at the keeper shots are really irritating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Sakho is another potential captain. He's a real leader out there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Sakho playing peacemaker.

Michael Owen really is a spa.

To his credit though, he went against this pathetic and lazy line that Sakho is poor/clumsy in possession/passing. Kudos to him for that.

Lovely playing out from the back there.

Really enjoying seeing how Liverpool play under Klopp now.

It's like a breath of fresh air, and this is only 3 weeks in. What will they be like next year in the Champion's League?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,036 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Good to see Ibe and Clyne reforming that nice little partnership they showed hints of in the early games of the season/preseason.

They'll be gegenpressing Bayern into submission (or at least not letting them walk the ball past them)
