Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sakho is a fantastic player and could be a great captain, but I'm perfectly happy to keep Henderson as captain. Looking forward to him coming back more than Sturridge.

Really enjoying seeing how Liverpool play under Klopp now.

It's like a breath of fresh air, and this is only 3 weeks in. What will they be like next year in the Champion's League?

Putting up a better title defence in the league than Chelsea have will be important as well though.

Bugger! Bordeaux are winning. Wanted them out of the way.

On the plus side, we have a better chance of winning the group now.

If they win it makes it even more important that we win as well, and we can qualify next time out by beating them at home, which in fairness we should be doing.

Absolutely. For me, Henderson was the obvious and natural successor to Gerrard as captain and he should stay as such. Sakho is grand the way he is, showing leadership qualities.

Henderson will thrive as Captain rather than buckle under.

If things stay as they are, a win against Bordeaux at home and we are through

We really need to get that second goal though, long as we're only one up anything can happen.

John Champion is a brutal commentator.

That "Knock Liverpool off their effin perch" quote was said by Ferguson but not when he was Aberdeen manager.

That defeat did leave him bitter against Liverpool though. But yeah, that perch thing was said when he joined Man U.

Yesssss. On comes Lucas to see the game through. He hasn't long left though to pick up his obligatory yellow card.

So he'll be Sakho the White at the weekend?

What's Owen sh!ting on about regarding Can's 'afterthought'. He achilles were raked by studs. He felt the pain a split second later. That sh!t is sore.

Ha, great from Sakho there at the end....high ball hanging in the air coming down around the left back area - he jogs over to Moreno who was under it, gets him to move out of the way, and sticks his head on it.

Job done. Super performance from Liverpool. Really pleased with the squad Klopp took over and that he seems to be taking the competition seriously.

Delighted with that, Ibe with his first goal, a second assist for Firmino.

I have always rated Sakho. Excellent again tonight.

Lovren actually looked solid enough too.

It wouldn't surprise me if Lovren became a good player for us now that we have a manager who cares about defending.

Well even McLovren has occasionally looked like he doesn't care about defending.
But I think he may replace Skrtel as first choice beside Sakho before the year is out.
