Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Woo hoo, 3rd round for first time in 10 years!

Glamour tie v Rotherham or someone now I expect.

That, and a pub by the ground I was barred from 20 years ago has burnt down, happy days.

Watched the goals on the red button. Really do feel for Northwich Victoria, first goal was wickedly deflected, second a loopy speculative effort, flicked on, that would normally end in a goal kick and third where their heads had gone after they'd been pegged back. Still had a chance to equalise but our keeper pulled off a pretty good save.

I'll happily take a glory draw away now, money in the bank and concentrate on the league.

    Now, here's the goals again!

I noticed that there is a Premier League program the midweek after 3rd round games.
As there are regular complaints of teams resting players is there any logic for the FA to do this?

For example Sunderland are away to Swansea on Tuesday night in the league 3 days after travelling to the Emirates in the Cup.
Is there any chance at all that Allardyce wont play a weakened side on the Saturday?? and why wouldnt he?

Their results have been woeful since the start of December, so great chance to force himself into the team if he gets a run out.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Last time Watford played Newcastle in the FA cup was 1989.
Watford won, after a Glenn Roder goal, in the 3rd replay

    Different times.

Watford lead Newcastle 1-0 but that's hardly cupset territory
Everton only one up against the Daggers.
    Palace ahead of Soton 0-1

Lots of positive reviews I read. Houghton said he was impressed too.

With them playing again on Weds, and it being a much bigger game, I'd be shocked if there isn't a load of changes for both sides.

Should be a decent game between spurs and leicester.

Decent game, definitely needed the Leicester equaliser.

Unfortunately watcing BBC reminds me how much I dislike Jonathan Pearce's judgemental tone in commentary.

None of us know if it was on purpose, but it has to be handball really.

No way, not for me. It's not deliberate handball. There's no way I look at that and say it's deliberate. It's a natural movement when turning for me. I feel Leicester have been robbed.

Never ever a penalty. Awful decision by the referee. The very definition of ball to hand.

Absolutely. He's turning naturally and the ball has dropped onto his hand. Such a poor decision.

Exceedingly soft penalty. I wish we got penalties as soft as that. That's the same ref who denied us a blatant (and a lot more obvious) penalty on wednesday night when Navas was tripped by Mirallas.

deliberate peno for me dyer has his eye on the ball as he tried to flick it away

Nope. Just because the decision has gone your team's way, it doesn't mean you have to defend it. It wasn't a penalty. It's just one of those human errors.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,994 ✭✭✭KingdomYid

For me it could have gone either way, only Dyer knows if he meant it. If it went against my team I would accept it. Spurs were lucky to get a draw though on the night.

Agreed. Shockingly bad decision; Leicester were robbed by a human error, not by any great skill by Spurs.

i agree spurs were blessed to get a replay esp an 88th min equaliser against the run of play after our excellent start..

to my biased eyes dyer had his eyes on the ball , knew exactly where it was which is why he tried to stop rose by flicking the ball away slyly.. when rose had passed him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,744 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Its hardly a shockingly bad decision if several people in here think it was a pen, that suggests it wasn't cut and dry. I think its a pen all day and I support Arsenal..
