Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying Advocate online for dogs.

    Has anyone here bought Advocate online? Is there any saving to be made. My dog is due a dose, I need 4 pipettes.

    Last time I purchased them off the vet, they were around €17 each.

    Hi, I don't think you can buy advocate online without the prescription of a vet. It was cheaper the last time I checked it but as I said you need a prescription of your vet and I don't know if they have to give you one or if they can say no we don't do this.

    Oh I didn't know that.
    I thought it was just a normal yearly thing, like the booster injection. I'll get her to the vet soon and see what they say.

    OP is your dog actually at risk of fleas/worms or had them before? I don't treat either of my dogs - my younger girl who's 2 has never had a spot on treatment and only had her initial worm dosages as a puppy. Both get worm counts done and they've always been clear.

    I remember the vet telling me that my dog might be at risk of ring worm because she occasionally eats the poo:eek: of wild animals, this happens when I'm walking her in the local woods.

    That was a couple of years ago and she hasn't quite grown out of that habit.
