    Hi there,

I've little to no idea when it comes to audio, I'm looking for some speakers for only playing music in my living room.

I'm going to use this wifi audio streamer to play music from tablet.

Here is a layout of the room, we have speaker cables put in ready to use.

    Budget approx 300 euro

    Cheers
Hi Joseph, apologies for the delay in getting back to you

To keep around budget of €300, you should have a look at the Cambridge AM5 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-10594-topaz-am5.aspx - €179, paired with the Q Acoustic 2010i -http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-11476-2010i-gr.aspx- at €129 - a real nice combo with amazing detail.

If you could go a bit over budget,I'd recommend going up to the Q Acoustic 2020 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-11473-2020i-gr.aspx - at €179 making the package €358 - same great detail but a bit extra midrange/bass

Any other questions, please let me know
    Cheers

    Hi Brian

Sorry to piggyback on this thread but any suggestions for a similar setup for a slightly larger budget? Say 600 ish?

Thinking about a decent sound bar or a stereo setup or some kind of a 2.1.

    Thanks
    John

HI Bigserious1, thanks for the post.

If you are using this primarily for streaming music, then you are best going with a stereo amp and pair of Hifi speakers. I would only go the likes of a soundbar/base if it was primarily TV with occasional music.

    For a budget of around €600, you could look at the Cambrdige Audio SR10 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-11219-topaz-sr10.aspx#tabSpecifications-tab at €319, paired with the Q Acoustic 3020 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201179-3020-graphite.aspx - at €259.

Prices above all include shipping to anywhere in ROI, and we have both items in stock locally
If anything else grabs your eye, drop me a post and I'll see what I can do for you

    Cheers

    Thanks Brian!

I am thinking of going with the speakers you recommended but with this amp. Will that work okay?

Given there is speaker cable already wired in, will I need any equipment, plugs or anything in order to connect the speaker cable to amp and to the speakers? It is just regular speaker cable cut at the ends (it seems there are 2 small cables inside one bigger cable).

Is there anything else I might be leaving out? I have no clue.

Also I notice there is a 6 year guarantee with the speakers on your main website? Do I get the same gaurantee?

    Cheers,
    Joseph

HI Joseph, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Yes the A10 amplifier would work well with the 2010i speakers. I don't have it in stock at the minute but it could be ordered in/shipped direct. For these 2 together I can do that at €305

The cables you described should be fine with the amp and speakers, and as for plugs, you can use them with or without plugs. The advantage of plugs means its easier to connect/disdonnect if you move them regularly, but if you intend keeping them in place, then bare wire connection is good enough

I can talk you through connections if need be

    Regards
    Brian

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the reply. That would be great!

How should I place the order then?

    Cheers,
    Joseph
