    Hi All
i have two sets of 200 led bulbs x-mas solar string lights.

the solar is not good enough to power the light this time of year for more than 30min.

I've opened the small solar unit and what inside is: PICTURE ATTACHED
    2 x Ni-MH AA600mah 1.2V batteries.

there is two wired going to the solar unit,

is there a dc power supply i could wire to the unit and remove the solar panel ?

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks in advance
    Rgs

Just buy lights that come with a power supply(transformer)

Tampering with these can be dangerous as the rating on the cable could result in fire or worst case shocked.

Take out the cells and put them in a normal battery charger. Or use AAs.

A 2.5V < 3V PSU would work fine off the load battery terminals as long as it can supply enough current. You'd best remove the batteries and solar gubbins. Not sure how you'd start a fire or get shocked with 2.5V but maybe it's possible.
