He was a tosser all the way through the episode. The state of him when his team came last in the first event and he's effing away and punching the hay bales. Who in God's name would want to be "coached" by him in this?

Fair play to the other three for ripping the p1ss out of him.

I love Davy on the GAA pitch as a manager. That level of aggression doesn’t transfer to IFF and it looks a bit staged (punching the bales of hay ffs)

I think the other 3 coaches genuinely care about their families though.

    its a great show :)

True but they had a good head start and really faded towards the end and were caught at the line, probably knew that was their chance gone.

Thank you for explaining. I had always wondered what the difference was 😊

The pontoon element of the eliminator has made it more of a lottery, go off them and you're fucked, you can be so far behind there's no coming back

They're supposed to own the crematorium in Cork as well, so they have you every way

Bonners were pretty awesome in the eliminator!!

I see they held back Davy's team until next week. Guess he wanted to have some interest in it as long as possible, particularly since he owns a stake in the show. 😅

The Bonnars can consider themselves very lucky after cocking up so badly in the first event, and yer man flaking out so early on the balance beam!

But they made short work of the eliminator in fairness, so all credit to them. Colm Bonnar sprinted up that ramp like a 25-year old, fair dues to him!

Does Donncha have 3 teams in this round? I thought it was only 2, which would make it a bit bizarre that they had both in the one episode. But if he has 3, that would make a bit more sense.

Stratfords are with Donncha, I know them, they're very fit and have been into fitness all their lives, hope they win

Carrying bags of spuds and filling baskets with spuds. You can't get much more Irish than that 😅

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,426 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Donnacha didn't spare Cillian, he obviously wanted the glory of "winning" the first task. I think Donnacha said something about his ego. Ridiculous move to have the girl trying to pull that tyre and the biggest man of show standing waiting. They were excellent in the eliminator in fairness

Murphy's and Peter's came across as two very nice families

    👍️.

I'm kinda partial to Maris Piper as well

Yeah, madness. I know some of these events you cant really practice for, but everyone knows how heavy a tractor tyre is and it was just plain daft to think she could pull it on her own in any sort of decent time, Colm should have done that, the son carry the tyre which was probably even harder, then one girl on the balance beam and one running.

It sounded like they didnt listen to Donnacha on the spuds trial either, so didnt learn any lessons from the first debacle, as Donnacha made some comment that he didn't think the son was the right man to be up on the balance beam

Awe that's a cruel blow for this family down to three but they will not be last anyway after your one on the last family failing after 24seconds. Big mistake putting her up there.

    Doing OK over 100kg now.
