Hi all I have an issue in work, I don't know how to orientate a building drawing on cad to the site in order to pull coordinates off it.

Any and all help would be so appreciated because I'm lost at the minute.

    Thanks in advance

Do you mean you have the building drawing in one file and the site map in another and you want to merge them with the building installed at it's correct orientation?

If so (and assuming AutoCAD) there's two ways I can think of off-hand:

    1. Use an XREF with appropriate UCS and WCS set up the "proper way"
    2. Copy the building and paste it into the site map as a block - then rotate it to the correct angle the quick and dirty way

Which you chose depends on whether you need to keep the two acting together in the long run and whether you're a purist or not!!
