Bell Trans shuttle bus. $11 for a return ticket to any strip hotel. You can book it on Expedia but there's probably many other ways too. Far cheaper than Uber.

I paid $11 for an Uber to the hotel, definitely worth it for time and convenience

Both are good options, but 1 return ticket for $11 that covers two journeys is literally half the cost of two Ubers at $11 each. The shuttle bus leaves every half hour right outside the airport too and it's paid in advance so they can't long haul you and charge extra like an Uber could (and did) to me. Met some people on the shuttle bus that I ended up going out drinking with that night too so there's always that as well! :)

As I said, both are good options, depends on whether one is willing to share transport for the sake of a few dollars savings. Sure an extra $11 will barely buy you a drink over there after all.

ticketmaster.com customer services are a pain in the balls  I can't use their re-sale because I've no US bank account. I can't use any other resellers because I do not have a barcode for my ticket. TM will not allow me to change from "collect at venue" to a print at home ticket(meaning I could get the barcode).

I think at this stage my only way/hope of selling the ticket before I go is ebay and asking the buyer to meet me in Vegas to collect the ticket. If I was the buyer I wouldn't be keen on this myself, I'm thinking about maybe just asking for a % of the sale value as like a deposite then they can pay the rest in Vegas.

Did you not have someone on here looking to buy it from you? I don't know why you want to go through the resales if that's the case.

Nope? I wanted to try and use the resale to try and get back some of the difference I paid for the drunken ticket.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

So ebay cost me money and was a failure  Put the ticket up for 10 days starting at $0.01 and it only reached $200!! I had a reserve on it luckily. Looks at this stage like I'll be running around Vegas trying to get rid of it :(

In other news, Mike Tyson's Undisputed is on in the MGM over the 196 weekend! Tickets start at $70(inc fees), its in a comedy club in the MG which only holds 250 seats by look of it so anyone interested may be quick.

My trip is filling up nicely, Thurs - Tyson, Fri - Rogan, Sat - UFC 196 :)

The fella Adam who does MMA roasted is also doing a show on Thurs night in the Statosphere hotel, follow him on twitter and you might get comp tickets. I asked him for ticket few days ago, he didn't reply back but RT'd, followed me back & liked the msg so I presume I got 1....I'll not be able to go now after getting a ticket to Tyson so I can pass it on if anyone wants it?

Nice one, strongly thinking of going for the $270 option of the meet & greet/pic with Tyson

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

Personally I would never pay for a picture with any star be it fighter or celeb or what ever,it just wouldnt feel the same as bumping into them,I know Mayweather does dinners and photo ops now in the uk I would kill to get a pic with him but wouldnt feel right forking out a bundle to.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

I wouldn't pay for a meet & greet either. I think if you are paying to goto a show like this or an after dinner type thing something like that should be part of the package. It seems to be the new craze though charging for a picture. I see a lot fo retired footballers who are doing the dinner rounds now have VIP packages for a closer seat and VIP+ for meet & greet. IMO its an extra ripoff.

$70 ticket to Tyson will do me and with only 250 or so people(if it sells out) I'd be disappointed if I don't wing it to get a picture anyway. He's been doing photo opps in casinos in Vegas this week by looking at his twitter so I#ll be keeping an eye out that week to see if theres anything announced on his twitter for more. Maybe the LV fight shop could have him & you get a photo if you buy his t-shirt or something, they've had a few affliction sponsored fighters in doing that recently

  • Registered Users Posts: 550 ✭✭✭Pulse8

The fight shop options & other appearances aren't cheap either

Charging per word ffs he must be seriously broke thats shocking wouldnt pay a penny to meet him for as much a legend as he is,a trip to vegas is dear enough without that, telling people ya met mike tyson but having to pay a fortune isnt the same as saying ya bumped into him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭PM me nudes

Tyson is back to raping it seems, this time it's our wallets.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

wow! where did you find those prices? Its absolutely ridiculous! "Will not sign IRON"....WTF?

TBH I wouldn't give care about getting an autograph, just interested in a photo. You can buy autographed items off ebay(maybe thats why he charges so much?) but having a photo stood beside him IMO would be more memorable and proof(if needed? I dunno my mates are doubting cocks lol) that you met him.

I think I got in pretty quick with the ticket because Im only 3 tables from the stage so worse case scenario get someone sat behind me to take a photo while he's on stage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 550 ✭✭✭Pulse8

I'd say that's all you'd be getting to be honest, unless you happened across him out & about & even then it's not guaranteed.
He was on same flight as my mate from JFK to LV in December before the Aldo fight & wouldn't take a pic with him

Got the prices from the FB comments on the "Field of Dreams" page where he was doing an appearance lately

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

Maybe he doesn't like flying or was just in a mood....seems doubtful with what he charges though, maybe just no freebies

At least your mate asked and didn;t end up like this guy lol

Cool thanks Foxtrol. Easily offended? Nahhh I would be upset if some people didn't get offended at a comedy gig :D I'm not a fan of these 'nice' standups like Peter Kay or McIntyre at all...moreso the likes of Jim Jeffries. I believe if something is told as a joke it should be taken as a joke, if people choose to get offended by that its their own fault.

I might check out his netflix(Im sure I can get it from other sources too!) show but not sure to risk seeing some of the same material. Hopefully he has the same kind of attitude to Rogan & Diaz as in once its recorded you don't use it again.

Was really impressed with him in July, his recent Netflix special is worth a look too.
He said on the podcast the other week he's doing all new material in comparison to it now so no danger of ruining it on yourself.....his Cosby/Michael jackson bit in it is gas

He used a few lines from his netflix special when he was in new york last month but the majority was new material.

His Netflix special is 57 minutes so I'm not sure what's cut out but it's called One Shot anyway.

30:30 is the start of the toilet joke.

 I've not watched it yet, maybe its cut the intro or ending credits? It seems to be uploaded from an official account.

I'll give it a watch over the weekend anyway, theres a few other standup shows on youtube but they've been online a while so can't be his special. I ccan't search any t*rr**ts atm to see if its downloadable.

Could be but the intro was only a minute long. Don't think it could make up that much time. Looks like it was recorded with a camera up to a TV screen and the account has only uploaded that video. But yeah I'm sure it's grand

lol are you serious? :D When I was looking online I read something that says it was called "one shot" because it was done with 1 camera without breaks/edits and I presumed(from the few seconds I watched of the video) that the camera work would be a bit dodgy at the start :pac: F that then, I'll try to find it somewhere else! I can't even tolerate a 30 sec vine video of someone using their phone(or anything) to record something off the tv.

edit - just found a DL. 57 mins long. I see what you mean now, youtube video decapitates Tony & Joey at the start whereas the DL version doesn't :D
Starts off with him smoking and then walking into the club

Lads, does anyone know about getting refunds on tickets if the main event changes? I've still got a spare & loads of tickets are now on sale through ticketmaster(not just resale  where were all these TM tickets during pre sale or general sale??) so think might be easier just taking the refund.

Yes you will be entitled to a refund. Happened to me before for something similar and they just refunded no questions asked.
Also, the time it changed in Dublin few months back, a large number of people took refunds, again no problem just contacted TM.

Havnt heard many saying they are going this time around, have you heard numbers of how many Irish are meant to be at it??

TM were brilliant regarding the refund for me for the dublin show couldn't speak more highly of them. Was way easier than I anticipated and got done just like that. Wasn't my decision to take the refund but my mates pulled out :(

So I believe, someone else emailed me to say they got refunds for 189 when Aldo pussed out. Apparently can even get refund from mgm box office itself aswell. I've emailed TM to ask. I just dont want(think I said this earlier in thread) to refund through TM then they sell it onto a punter at a markup.

I have no idea about nos going over, but I didn't for 194 either. 3 Vegas fights in 8 months(4 inc ufc 200) is too much for 99.9% to goto. Just 1 trip would be a stretch for most punters probably. This is my 2nd and I amagine last trip unless I hit on a huge lucky streak at blackjack :pac:

Yes, they e-mailed back earlier confirming that due to main event changing they can make a full refund of everything except processing fees & delivery fees.

Jokers! Fair enough not refunding delivery but fans shouldn't be out of pocket for service fees. Between TM & UFC they should take the hit on that

There are LOADS of tickets for sale now, I'm considering keeping the cheap ticket for the very back & refunding the resale ticket and just moving up closer into 1 of the many free seats

Nice! I'm the very same. I've 2 450 tickets, and contemplating taking refund and picking up a 200 one. Ticket prices compared to the last few have been mental anyway. I was at 178 and I paid 250ish for a ticket which is 15 rows ahead of my 450 ticket.

Hopefully great atmosphere for the whole weekend. some decent events on in the clubs too.

200 tickets? ive not seen any at that price, cheapest all over 300+fees. Even though I've not yet replied back to TM I can't access my cheaper ticket so I don't know if they've processed the refund  When I log into my account it only shows 1 order which is for the more expensive ticket I bought.

What would make you think it has any connection to ticketmaster.com ? :D I've already slabbered enough a few weeks back in this thread about the (non)differences in tm.com/co.uk/ie and their systems not recognising the other so I'm not going to get wound up by it again tonight :D

This sounds good for next week!
Following in the footsteps of the memorable "Go Big" press conference (see it here), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced the upcoming "Unstoppable" Global Launch event to announces the upcoming slate of intriguing fights.
The event will kick off on March 4, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada prior to the UFC 196 weigh ins at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And it's perfect planning, too, as the promotion is clearly taking advantage of the countless eyeballs that will tune in to see Conor McGregor tip the scales for his much-anticipated Lightweight title fight against division champion, Rafael dos Anjos.
Plus, it doesn't hurt that Holly Holm will also be on hand to weigh in for her women's Bantamweight title bout against Miesha Tate.
As it stands, here is the list of attendees expected to take part in the upcoming campaign, per a UFC press release:
    Dana White - UFC president
Junior Dos Santos - No. 5 UFC heavyweight contender
Ben Rothwell - No. 4 UFC heavyweight contender
Khabib Nurmagomedov - No. 2 UFC lightweight contender
Tony Ferguson - No. 4 UFC lightweight contender
Daniel Cormier - UFC light heavyweight champion
Jon Jones - No. 1 UFC light heavyweight contender
Demetrious Johnson - UFC flyweight champion
Henry Cejudo - No. 3 UFC flyweight contender
Luke Rockhold - UFC middleweight champion
Chris Weidman - No. 1 UFC middleweight contender
A complete list is expected to be revealed in the coming days.

Can anyone who's not going to this one help a brother out with a fightclub weigh-in barcode by PM when it's released on Mon/Tues? There's 3 of us and it's already cost an arm and a leg, could do without having to buy another membership just for that...

    Any help appreciated.

Shouldn't be a problem manvil, plenty of sound boardies I'm sure are willing to help BUT you will need 2 passcodes if there are 3 of you going(I think its 2 per pass)

There are LOADS of tickets on TM now, some resale but loads of blue(TM) seats. A lot of people must have taken refunds but the MGM is going to look emptyat this rate! Quite a few $450 seats in the lower tier available, think a few days ago they were over 1000!!

They all bare an errie resemblance to the originals :D

Ta Devastator... I have one membership, covering two of us, so just need an additional barcode... Can anyone help?

Re Joe Rogan - I think that'd be a fool me thrice sort of scenario for me. Thought he was woeful in Boston around the Siver fight, and was a little disappointed with the Ka Theatre show in Dec. Diaz was off-form compared to what I expected based on the podcasts etc too :/

Worst case is the 3 of you go along as normal & just ask people in the queue if they'll bring 1 of you in with them. I'm sure you'll get sorted well before tht tho. I was at the December show and enjoyed it. I missed the start of Diaz as I was in the queue waiting to get a drink.

The way I read it is that this takes place before the weigh ins, so it will be instead of a Q&A. I'd presume everyone can get in but members get in 30 mins earlier.

Can anyone who's not going to this one help a brother out with a fightclub weigh-in barcode by PM when it's released on Mon/Tues? There's 3 of us and it's already cost an arm and a leg, could do without having to buy another membership just for that...

    Any help appreciated.

    You can have mine.

Do you use rewards? Any chance I could pocket the points for your tickets? (I'll explain in a DM)

You can have my weigh in barcode either way.

I don't think they're up yet, if you can confirm?
