Query re connection

    Hello,
    I live on a rural road about two miles from a major suburban town in Cork. I have been trying to have Eir broadband installed for the past number of weeks. We received the modem in the post yesterday and hooked it up. A technician came out today and subsequently told me that he could not connect us to any broadband as we are 5.8KM from the junction/exchange and would get virtually no signal. The thing is our neighbours who live directly behind us (houses are about 25 metres away from each other) have Eir broadband and are getting a decent bandwidth as they have no issues streaming and watching Netflix etc.
    I checked with the neighbours and they are definitely with Eir and have the exact same modem as we received yesterday. Could this be looked into please as we are anxious to get some kind of broadband. I can give account details etc by PM.
