Were else are they on sale, missing tonight cause of work...

Also who are the trialists tonight?

At the moment they were just on sale tonight. Most likely faint to be available at the next home game. I reckon they shouldn't put them on sale outside of match day till after the next home game.

Stand tickets are initially being made available to Season Ticket holders, Official Supporters Club members and Blue Army Loyalty members before general sale.

No clue who the trialists were but from what we saw tonight we won't sign any of them.

Need to sign up Omar Al Fazari aka "OMAN 16", was a cracking goal he scored for the second.

Limerick play UCD tonight at 6pm in Dublin.

If we avoid a defeat, we are First Division champions for 2016.

There will be a big crowd there from Limerick I am sure, but the match is also being streamed live on FAI TV (the FAI youtube channel) for those who are interested but can't make it. I will try to find and post a link to that later.

    UCD 2-3 Limerick

    (O'Flynn, O'Conor x 2).

Limerick were crowned champions tonight after a nervy away win against a decent UCD side. We were sluggish throughout but finally got ourselves sorted in the final 30 minutes.

UCD scored first after a good break saw a cross to the back post headed back across goal and into the bottom corner. Limerick equalised after a Sean Russell through ball reached John O'flynn despite the best efforts of a defender, and he calmly slotted home.

We took the lead in the second half after a brilliant Steven Kenny run saw him square the ball for O'Conor to tap home, but UCD equalised soon afterwards when a defender had a free header from an in-swinging corner, with Hall complaining about being blocked.

We retokk the lead when Sean Kelly did well to recycle and fire in a low cross which O'Conor got the final touch to, and then held on fairly comfortably until the end.

There were flares and a bit of a pitch invasion to mark our return to the premier division.

    Limerick 4-0 Waterford

    (Mulhall x 3 (1 pen), Greene)

Limerick cruised to victory over a very weak Waterford tonight in front of 1071 people.

We went ahead early when Sean Russell's looping cross into a group of players at the back post broke kindly for the unmarked Mulhall to sidefoot home from about 10 yards out. We were two up inside 10 minutes when the keeper spilled Steven Kenny's low freekick to his right, and Greene was quickest to react and tap in.

The pace slowed a bit after that, and while we were the better team Waterford did fashion a couple o decent chances, but we went three up just before half-time. Greene and Mulhall had been trying to set each other up for most of the first half, and it finally paid off when a delicate Green pass from the edge of the area sent Mulhall one-on-one with the keeper and he finished calmly.

With the game over as a contest, the pace continued to drop, but we could have had a few more goals. Greene forced a super save from the keeper, and then Russell and Mulhall got their wires crossed and missed an open goal after Russell had robbed the keeper. We finally made it 4 when a defender was penalised for handball inside the area. There was never any doubt about who would take the penalty - Mulhall completing his hattrick.

Scheduled game away to Cobh next weekend is cancelled as they are playing a cup match.

Next home game: EA Sports cup final versus St. Pats, Saturday Sept 17th, kickoff at 5.30pm.

EA Sports Cup Final: Limerick 1-4 St Pats

    (Lynch)

St. Pats ground Limerick down tonight in the second half after we were the better team in the first half, and as we pressed and tired late on, they picked us off again and again.

In front of a very big and noisy crowd, we started brightly and stayed that way for the while first half, and went ahead when Lee Lynch smashed in a shot from about 20 yards out. It must have swerved because it was fairly central but the keeper got nowhere near it. We had a few decent chances and Pats created very little.

In the second, we again started brightly, but Pats gradually came more into the game. We were still 1-0 up when we missed two chances, first Mulhall from a one-on-one, and then the big one - Sean Russell sending in a cross to give Stephen Kenny a free header from about 8 yards out. He tried to head it down but ended up heading it so far down it bounced up and over the bar.

After that Pats became dominant, and as we tired our passing started to get sloppy. Finally that sloppiness cost us as we gave it away in midfield and the scored on the break. We were really struggling to cope, and couldn't hold out for extratime. Pats took the lead on 84 mins after cutting us apart again, and as we had to throw more men into attack, they were clinical on the counter, first beating Hall one-on-one, and then rolling into an empty net after Hall had been beaten to a through ball.

Superior fitness, and superior players, and that showed in the end.

Not sure Russell is the man to take limerick forward. Very poor second half and a disgrace they couldn't hold on for the win with only 20+ minutes left. Real shame. Great to see such a big crowd.

"Disgrace" seems a very harsh word to be throwing around! They've barely been tested all season, and they were playing against a team used to battling in a higher division. We were all hoping for the fairytale win, but surely expectations have to be kept fairly reasonable!

It was certainly a disgrace his rubbish young fella was playing. Russel is the wrong man for the club. There has been no achievement pumping the likes of Waterford athlone and cabinteely all season. Those clubs may not even exist next year. We merely booted them on the way out.

Reaching the cup final isn't an achievement?

You can beat what's in front of you, and for the most part we did that comprehensively this season.

We'll see what next year holds, but for now everyone involved has a hell of a lot to be proud of and has achieved a damn lot in one year!!

I think Sean at left full was a mistake, but I don't think Shane could have handled byrnes pace. We put too much energy into the first half and were gassed by 65th minute.

Pat's were superior in second half, better team won.

Neither player is a left full but Shane gets less flack because he's a local lad and his father isn't the manager. Russell is a winger and shows when he had the second most assists last season behind Turner and Shane is a centre midfielder but more so for a top first division team and would be found out during premier playing there.

Left full is one of four positions they need to strengthen for next season along with a centre back to play alongside Paudie, striker, another centre midfielder or a winger.

Play instead of paudie you mean. Robbie was immense yesterday

Robbie Williams is a left full-back and I hope he'll be back playing there in the Premier division. He plays as the left centre back in the first and we get Russell or Tracy to fill in at left full-back. I don't really have a problem with this in the first division because even that back 4 is good enough to beat pretty much everyone every time.

But when we played a premier division team of Pats' quality, they found us out pretty quickly. We absolutely need a quality left the centre back for next season to play alongside Paudie O' Connor and let Williams return to full back.

Any talk of a 'disgrace' is a total over reaction in my opinion. Our main job this season, our only priority really, is to get back to the Premier division. Under Russell we have done that in record time, with record points, and hopefully unbeaten.

Anything else on top of that is a bonus. Okay we were comprehensively beaten last night, but we did get to the cup final, and we beat two Premier division teams along the way.

What Russell hopefully learned last night is that there are a few players in that team who simply are not good enough for Premier division football, and need to be replaced. That's his job for the off-season, and I'll be looking very closely at the kind of signings he makes, and their quality.

Robbie was immense but is he gonna play two or even three games a week next season in the premier against better opposition. I love Robbie and the fact he's been here the second longest consecutive and with next year being his fourth season he'll be one of the leaders in the dressing room but he'll be 32 at the start of next season, he isn't the quickest by any means and with Paudie being the future of the club it just means to Robbie wouldn't be a guaranteed starter every week if Limerick want to bring in a top level centre half next season

I wouldn't mind seeing Robbie offered a coaching job with the club or even player/coach. Talking to Paudie during the off season after last year and he was saying without Robbie he wouldn't be half the player he is now and all the help he has given him and you gotta admit he's gonna be something special if he keeps on improving every season at the rate he is. So would be nice to have Robbie involved with the future generation of defenders the academy has at the moment.

Shane got fairly destroyed away at Pats so I'm fine for Sean to start at left full. He handled Byrne's pace grand but he was lost position wise. Also, Shane's main strength is linking up and attacking and this was non existent by Sean. Even little things like throw in's, we must have lost 80% of them in the 1st half.

What worries me about Martin is his in game decisions. 1 1 and Kelly gets injured. He takes O Conner out of the middle and puts Tracey in. If your not going to pick him at left full then Jesus don't put him in the middle of the field. He has had a great season but has been very poor anytime he was put there against ****e opposition. We now have at O Conner at Right Full, Russell still at left full and Tracey in the middle . All out of position. For me it was not us running out of steam but guys being pulled all over the place and not knowing what to do.

    Shelbourne 1-1 Limerick

    (Williams)

I wasn't at this tonight, but from updates it seems like we were very jaded in the first half, and Shels were the better team, scoring midway through the half.

We stepped it up in the second half and had a spell of sustained pressure, but that seemed to fade, and Shels missed a good chance to make it 2-0, before we got a corner which Robbie Williams got on the end of to volley an equaliser.

Seems like we gout out of jail a bit, but I'll wait and hear from somebody who was actually at the game.

Next game: home to Athlone, Tuesday Sept 27th, 7.45pm
