    i5 6600 €220
    H170 €120
    1tb HDD €50
    Case €100
    GTX970 €350
    8gb DDR4 €50
    Total €890 I think

Can knock about €100 off if a Haswell build will do, your call

    Thanks!

I had to google Haswell build :) This build is (Skylake I think) fine.

So I had a quick look on computeruniverse and I am looking at something like this:

    Some questions...

For the H170 would you go with MSI, Asus or ASrock?

The case would be a mid tower?

Would there be any point in getting 16GB RAM or is this overkill?

They all make grand boards, wouldn't go wrong with any of them.

Case is mid tower, I have it myself, its fairly nice and quiet. Weighs a ton though.

    16gb is overkill

    Good stuff thanks.

    Another question about RAM...

Should I go for 1x8GB or 2x4GB or does it matter?

2x4 is a touch faster and cheaper to replace dead sticks

all depends on which bios you like the feel of , then also what color schemes you like on your board
