Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HD channels under openelec seem to be a bit problematic, they seem to pause for a spilt second fairly often, I have it setup using vdr.

I can't think what else may be causing that, but someone else may have a better idea.

Opened it up and removed it and plugged into laptop and it sees dongle but still the same.what's causing this

Seems like an issue with the dongle.

Maybe a silly question but have 2 boxes running on Openelec no bother.About 20 mins ago my box went crazy and start changing and pausing and the likes.Just copped that the 2 boxes where never on together until tonight and if you use one remote it changes both boxes.Have googled it and can't find a solution.Any help would be well appreciated before there's murder in the house. Thanks

Use Yatze if you've got Android phones...much better in my opinion. Everyone has their own remote in their pockets then...just remember to change to the device your using, so your not changing channels on the other box from a different room, while somebody else is watching!

if one uses Enigma2 with the wetek instead of Openelec, can we still stream the channels to multiple clients?

Or is that exclusively with Openelec and Tvheadend?

What is the advantage of putting Enigma2 on it?

Yes you can still stream the channels to other clients but tbh it is a bit glitchy I have only found that the pbnigma imgs from jan 3rd and 27th as being the only recent ones that can allow this.
I use en2player on my ipad and vu+ client on kodi to stream to other boxes around the house.

advantages, none really only that enigma2 is somewhat easier to configure and setup (well that is my feeling anyways)

Does anyone know where i can pick up an android box in Dublin this weekend?

    Thanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 951 ✭✭✭Trevord

There seems to be a place at the Luas Stop on Lower Abbey Street (beside the euro shop) that is selling a tv box of some sort.

I've no idea what they have exactly. Just saw a sign in the shop window as I was waiting for Luas.

Saw that. It's mostly a hearing aid shop. Pretty ballsy of them to advertise it on the front window on one of the busiest streets in the city.

in terms of whats on them very, I'd say.

They don't run android out of the box, so you would have to flash that yourself if you want it. They run plain openelec/kodi with no addons what so ever.

They have a choice of tuners built in for either sat/dvb or cable.

If you don't want to get your hands at least a little dirty setting stuff up I wouldn't recommend one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,522 ✭✭✭stanley1

    definitely not for beginners.

Ah I see. Im familiar with Kodi and openelec etc. So I could hook it up to my satelite and get free view? And ahem a.... €60 gift from a certain Irish buy and sell site?

You'd be mad to pay 60. No talk of that here.

In fairness he didn't really talk of anything... It left me even more confused :D:confused:

I was trying to figure out what the heck gift cost €60.

Mad money (assuming it is what I think it is).

I know, but we won't go into detail about it. A well known Chinese eBay like outlet is a great place to buy such gifts I hear.
