    Lee Hammond is a purple belt, not a blue. He's only really made the switch to MMA in the last year but still rolls in the Gi plenty, just has a different focus. James hasn't really bothered competing in Jiu Jitsu for years, maybe 16/17. When he was, he was submitting adults in blue belt divisions, as a teen. In seconds, in some cases. There's not much between them, tbh. Different styles. James is extremely well rounded but likes to pass and take the back like Gunni and has a more old school Jiu Jitsu game. Lee is fundamentally sound too but also was an early adopter of all the new school Jiu Jitsu, hence pulling off a berimbolo in two fights.

    We would just like to thank everyone who came along, watched or interacted with us at BAMMA 24 as it was one of our most successful events ever. We will be announcing a return to Ireland very soon.

    Fair play BAMMA and credit for listening to fans regarding the initial tag line slated for the event. Great night and I wouldn't be hesitant in purchasing tickets in the future.

    It wasn't a secret, it just wasn't signed off paperwork and contracts wise with venues and fighters and whatnot, so we don't announce anything until everything's in place including ticket on sale dates...
